Is he a better strong safety or free?

He tackles about as good as any safety I've seen in HS. He also seems to be a ball hawk.

Strong safety. Kids tough and lays wood(pause), stack him in the box. Especially in Guidrys defense.

He will take James Williams role whatever you want to call that. In the box, deep at times but mostly playing within 5 yds of the LOS

I agree as much as they have said the safeties are the brains of the defense. I highly doubt a true freshman starts there, exp since Zaquan won't be enrolling early.

I’m still hoping Kam and JW are the starting safeties next year. I want it to be like 2001 when players came back for their senior season; Reed, McKinney for example. With NIL it is possible. Maybe not probable, but possible.

Kam is a Day 2 pick next April. JW we shall see. If he continues playing at this level, he's gone too.
