He’s had success everywhere he’s been..idk it’s just stupid when ppl try to down play what he’s turned that place into. Those alums etc give him whatever he needs because that investment comes back tenfold with Saban running the show

No he hasnt

This is a football forum, you are welcome to do that. And I can think of a lot of talented teams that haven't won NCs and teams where you wonder how they won an NC. But if you ever get a chance to see the Paul Bryant museum check out the hardware. That's fun too.
Bama has NOTHING on the amount of talent UM has put into the league...NOTHING....especially the past 40yrs...this coming from a small private school...EVERY State school in America should be embarrassed of the beatdown a small private school has layed on the CFB landscape since 1980....A complete 100% embarrassment....We've had more AAs...more 1st round draft picks...more Pro Bowlers...more players represented in Super Bowls, more HOF inductees the past 40yrs than any program...And we're talking back when the school only had 7-10,000 undergraduates....Alot easier to Win a NC at a state school....

he did trash in the NFL he couldnt pick his players he had to do it fair, his x and o's really lit it up at Miami. Those Dolphins were hard to stop

And this is where ppl r getting Saban confused. They remember his second & last yr at Miami wheh they went 6-10. Yet, ppl forget the entire story. GOD I HATE WHEN YA’LL MOFOS DO THIS TO ME!

In 2004, The Miami Dolphins finished 4-12 under “The Stache” Dave Wannstedt (1-8) & Jim Bates (3-4). Enters Saban, and they finish the 2005 season 9-7, narrowly missing the playoffs. They actually finished that season on a 6-game winning streak.

Then the 2006 season happened, and Miami was favored to make the playoffs. Nick wanted Drew Brees; he knew he would be the key to get the offense to be on par w/ the defense. Dolphins mgmt ignored his request & went w/ Culpepper instead, who was coming of major knee surgery. The results? Culpepper wasn’t ready to come back, and stunk it up. The back ups? NFL bust Joey Harrington, and unknown journeyman in Cleo Lemons. The Dolphins O were Ronnie Brown & others. That’s y they went 6-10 his last yr.

That situation ****ed Saban off simply b/c he’s a control freak, and he bounced. That’s the complete story.

Ppl confuse that situation w/ his ability to coach. The two r not synonymous & I knew when he went to Bama it was going to be problems. Just like I knew when Urb went to OSU it was going to be problems. Both can coach, and when u have thirsty, blue blood boosters backing u, it’s going to be issues.

Let's correct the title. Sabans 5 stars vs Manny...I hate the fact that people think this guys a genius coach. He's not he just out talents u and coaches go there to hop onto another job...knowing whatever tf they run will work with those athletes. He could run the triple option and they would win.

Genius, I don't know, but it is not luck. Look at the other guys who coached at Bama w/o same level of success year in and out. I even read that Belicheck likes to discuss coaching strategies and defense with this guy. Belichek is no bum either. Bama also runs a coaching rehab as well as NFL player factory. It definitely is not something he just fell into.

I'm not saying Saban can't Coach he can but it's his picking players that makes him dominant. Guy can HC no doubt it's his talent and coaching a but of all that makes him dominant. But I would out his recruiting over his coaching if I had to pick

All of you Saban-hating mopes are full of crap. If Saban said he wanted to come to Miami you would all **** on yourselves for days on end nonstop. You wouldn't know what to do with yourselves. The blog would be replete with Nick Saban threads.

I personally don't like the guy. He's a miserable wet blanket. Wins left and right but complains every minute. With that said, he's an effective corch. NO ONE CAN DISPUTE THAT. Doesnt matter that he's annoying AF, doesn't matter that he's--arguably--not an X's and O's guy, or that he failed with the Dolphins of all franchises. He wins games, conference championships, bowl games, and nattys consistently. That is the ultimate metric for a corch.

GO CANES!!!

I'm not arguing about Miami's talent. Why would an Alabama fan want to? For more than a decade, Alabama’s been among the power programs snatching the talent and winning titles that previously went to Coral Gables. Amari Cooper, Eddie Jackson, Calvin Ridley, Jerry Jeudy, and Patrick Surtain are just a few of the NFL stars wearing Alabama national title rings when they visit their South Florida hometowns.

The Crimson Tide will bring a roster with seven players from Miami’s backyard to Atlanta for Saturday’s season opener.

And lastly, but in no way in **** least. I remember the best of them all in the mid-80s. Derrick Thomas was and is an Alabama Linebacker legend.

You are letting your emotions get the best of you. Just honor greatness, it keeps the blood pressure down in the long run.

Shapiro was a major booster of Miami's athletic programs, and reportedly spent $2 million from 2002 to 2010 in support primarily of the football and men's basketball teams. In August 2010, Shapiro told The Miami Herald that he was writing a book titled, The Real U: 2001 to 2010. Inside the Eye of the Hurricane in which he promised to tell how Miami had violated NCAA rules affecting more than 100 players. "Once the players turned pro, they turned their back on me. It made me feel like a used friend," he said.[5] Word of the potential violations was also reported in an August 31, 2010, article by Marcus Session in the Bleacher Report[7]

The NCAA, being as crooked as the entities they were trying to investigate broke every bylaw in the book to get information on Miami, and frankly, when that broke, it became a contest of which organization was more corrupt. My money is still on the NCAA.
Listen. Idk where you’re from but plenty of people on this board are from south Florida. We have south Florida high school coaches, pee wee coaches, teachers, Former high school players as well as friends and families of former players. This ain’t 247 or rivals where it’s heavily moderated. On here people PM the each other with information and even contact each other outside of this board.

The reason I’m saying this is because you are treading in waters where people have first hand knowledge of the amount of bags that Bama and the entire sec has dropped in this state and especially south Florida. I’m sure your well versed in the south Florida players that have dominated cfb. I’m also sure your aware of the amount of nfl players that come from schools south of Orlando.

We don’t snitch out on our homegrown players. The conditions some of these players have lived through is a testament to their toughness and we just don’t do that.

You can talk all the Nevin you want but I guarantee you that the sht that has gone on down here with south Florida players that left to the sec is jaw dropping and in some cases it’s almost to the point that you can probably call it extortion.
I wouldn’t be digging up old laundry on here.

Literally had that dolphins defense among the elites in the game. If I remember correctly it was Ronnie brown and that defense with some journey men QBs and Daunte

U’re memory is correct. The O was literally Ronnie Brown. The defense kept the Dolphins in most games & that O was putrid b/c they had no signal caller.
