Bigger question; why are we working overtime to sh*t in people's salads and to tear down a coaching staff after five games, when this program has been a complete ABORTION for 16 years; Mario now the third head coach in five years and six over the past 17 seasons.
Top-notch recruiting has always been the key to success at Miami; getting the right guys, the best guys for the program, the right-fit guys, knowing how to build a roster and then getting the kids to respond. Jimmy did it phenomenally, as did his protegé Butch Davis.
Mario can recruit and he was on to something at Oregon before he left. What-say we give Miami's best coaching option in 20 years (Richt was well over the hill when he showed up) a little time to riddle-solve here.
The fans taking out 20 years of frustration on a new coach, and placing these win-immediately expectations on him are why some of y'all are SO let down right now.
Beat Virginia Tech and then focus on Duke. Seven one-game seasons remain this fall. Let's watch and see if this team improves as the games roll on, as crying the blues over the past three losses solves nothing.
