Running backs

Not a fair sample size. TVD was **** early on. Got to get them reps.. even if it hurts at first.
Probably not and it was situational. But Brown didn't actually assert himself when he had the opportunity, did he? That jump on 4th down was sad.

I'm not saying they aren't capable, just that they need to step it up, same as Lashlee.

When my kid comes home with a bad grade, I don't just tell them to keep trying, I tell them they're capable of better and they need to show me.

Read the article. It made no mention of these activities. The only thing Lashlee referenced was Browns ability to see the holes. I swear some.of you have never been around an article.
That jump by brown was sad
I’m glad he got benched after that
That was a horrendous decision to try to jump

Its not realistic to expect rooster to survive 30+ carries every week. We're practically an injury away from having to go full on air raid. Unless TVD gets hurt. Then it won't matter who the RB is.

We're incredibly close to chaos depth wise. We're TVD and Knighton injuries away from a Ryan Rizk - Cody Brown offense.

Just mimicking things he’s seen on tv. Kind of like when a QB knows where he’s going with the ball pre-snap.. You have to let them get reps. All game long.

His high school film shows solid vision, balance (including after contact), and an ability to hit the hole.

And it's a high level competition area in Georgia.

Thus far here, he either hasn't been hitting the hole or there hasn't been one.
Just watched a few clips. You right. Really good balance. Looks hard to bring down. Has a little more speed than I would have guessed from what little we've seen. Thad looks like he has more upside. Hope to see them get more snaps the rest of the way.

Don't like Brown as a back I'm a speed guy....Thad never had that as well. Give me Rooster all day give him 75 carries and man tf up.

Someone on here said Thad wasnt a good practice player and more of a gamer.

That said, they cant complain about opportunities down the road if they fumble the one they have in front of them. There is absolutely a chance for one of them to get significant carries and plant there flag going into Spring ball when Chaney gets back that they deserve to be in the rotation. Knighton clearly cannot keep up this usage for the next 3-5 games. 30 carries a game is some Derrick Henry level stuff.
No there isnt. Our 2nd rb usage since Lashlee and Hickson have been here has always SUCKED. Im talking the back up never gets mor ethan 5 carries a game type of suckage.

Not sure what your expecting when you get 3 carries running into a loaded box in short yardage...or when you have 1 RUNNING play

Shiat aint given its earned. If you aint showing you deserve it outside of the games you dont get to show it in the games.

We have heard Thad has had "earning it" issues since day 1.

You guys talk about culture but then you want to just hand shiat out to players who rep the worst kind of culture a team could have.
I hear you and I understand your point. But are we really going to use one running back for the rest of the year? Earned or not, one of them needs to play now out of necessity.

Rooster has fumbled quite a bit this season. I doubt Brown or Thad can be any worse.

Brown and Thad need to get more touches. I love that Rooster is getting a lot of touches because he is likely one of if not the most explosive playmakers we have but 30+ carries is too much for a guy his size.

I'd like to see more Thad personally. I think Cody is a bit slow footed. Thad seems a little more agile and explosive and seems to fall forward. I'd like to see him in short yardage situations. He seems like a guy that can move a pile.
I dont look at Rooster as a fumbling liability to be honest. Id love to get a stat on how many fumbles he has had against how many carries. In fact the team as a whole has been pretty good about protecting the rock from fumbles outside of GT.

Im with you on Thad. From what little we've seen, I think he has more upside. But I did actually go watch a few clips last night of Cody in high school. I was surprised at what I saw. Has great balance, tough to bring down, and while not a speedster he had a little more speed that I thought. But then again our run blocking is terrible and our running schemes dont help these guys either. But no reason either of these 2 shouldnt be in there on 3rd/4th and short over Rooster if we are going to just run it up the middle.
