First time hearing about a grace period on a contract?

Nearly all contracts have a rescission period. For example a loan/mortgage has a 3 day rescission. Rarely do employment contracts bind an employee (coach in this case) from leaving or backing out under their own will.. they just forfeit their buyout or guaranteed money
