I think at this point, we should just name Ruiz UM President, Chairman of BOT and AD. I wouldn't mind HC either, TBH.
I know some Nova grads and a Cooley grad in particular who have down pretty well. You’d be surprised.I will say kudos to Ruiz for coming out of a **** law school and making it this big. nova should be crowning him every second bc hes literally their star graduate.
I know a few too but ruiz level lol. thats one in a billion lolI know some Nova grads and a Cooley grad in particular who have down pretty well. You’d be surprised.
We are 4 things here
1) Lawyers
2) Public safety/Public Health
3) Military Members
4) Businessmen/women
That actually explains why we‘re dysfunctional here now that I think about it. We’re knee deep in **** and stressed the **** out or drinking because we’re knee deep in **** and stressed the **** out.
They’re a clown show. Had the same discussion with a NIL attorney the other day. NCAA has ZERO self-awareness. They’re cooked.Scared money does not make money. Ruiz is not scared of the NC2A which is a lot like the big insurance companies.
And before you start lauding the NC2A attorneys, keep in mind that the NC2A attorneys lost their case in California, appealed it and lost, appealed it again and lost 9-0 in the US Supreme Court. Had they never appealed the loss at the trial court level the case would only have applied to athletes in California. But by appealing an obviously garbage case the NC2A created national law in which a completely divided Supreme Court reached a unanimous decision
I submit to you that the NC2A lawyers are terrible and you, me, and @RVACane would kick their asses
This is about the NCAA wanting any reason to pin something on Ruiz....Is this more about Katie Meier than anyone else? Had she not been involved, does the NCAA have a case? Without Coach Meier, the twins are behaving in line with the Supreme Court decision, aren’t they?
Here's the problem though...Kudos to Ruiz for threatening to take on the NCAA. Probably worth debating whether the potential spotlight and attention is something the university welcomes. Also hope he's discussed his plans with university leadership.
Depends on what the NCAA does next... If they continue to make this about Ruiz ( which they more than likely will ) then I can see him going for their throats....Here's the problem though...
if he doesn't file suit after this bluster...

Contrary to popular belief there are other nationalities besides Cuban in Miami...as long as he doesn't step on any land mines, I am ok with him suing the NCAA. Its a detriment to his business interests. They might have caused harm, and if he wins in Miami court, he can win a lot of compensation from a Cuban jury.
I am guessing hyperbole and descriptive wording are lost on you on a frequent basisContrary to popular belief there are other nationalities besides Cuban in Miami...
I mean I'm not Cuban and been here a minute or so... LOL!!!! ...
And yes I've done jury duty and have seen a variety of people in the pool...![]()
Right.. exactly... That's what it is....I am guessing hyperbole and descriptive wording are lost on you on a frequent basis
Who died in prisonHe's the Proverbial, John Gotti of the NIL....The Teflon John if you will...
Count me as one that’s sick of his mouth because it’s just over bearing but hoping that he takes those mother****ers to ****I’m not ****ed because people would prefer him to move in silence. There’s a difference between that and some of the other comments.
He went legitimately crazy in prison... It got bad right before he passed....Who died in prison![]()
hes gotta survive dismissive motions before it even hits a jury. some of you guys need to stop watching law and order and other legal dramas lol. in civil, its like 1 percent at best that even end up seeing a juryas long as he doesn't step on any land mines, I am ok with him suing the NCAA. #1, I don't watch TV really.hes gotta survive dismissive motions before it even hits a jury. some of you guys need to stop watching law and order and other legal dramas lol. in civil, its like 1 percent at best that even end up seeing a jury
that works. shoot it to my email when youre done. we can call this a paper class like back in law school#1, I don't watch TV really.
#2...having a succinct idea or linear statement seems rather easier than trying to type 45 paragraphs on the process of law, which no one here, except a few really care about.
If it would make it easier for you I can write a 10 paragraph argument or statement on what could happen for him and the pitfalls along with community based analogies and witticisms to make it more understandable for you?
Sure, shall we base it on a motion counter motion premise with each step of discovery discussed in detail?that works. shoot it to my email when youre done. we can call this a paper class like back in law school
