Ruiz potentially suing the NCAA….

I appreciate Ruiz's generosity. But we all knew the way he conducted himself would invite extra scrutiny, he knew that too and did it anyway. So UM got gored again the by the NCAA and now we only have lip service from Ruiz. So was he naive to what the rest of the CFB world saw coming? Did he do it intentionally so could get the press of fighitng the NCAA? If UM is settling on sanctions and he's threatening litigation there seems to be disconnect. We're right back into a circus with NCAA again after the adidas scandal and the nevin cloud and not only that we're coming off a 5-7 season. All this white knighting sunshine pumping **** is unwarranted.

You act like we are in some kind of big bad trouble.

Meier got her wrist lightly tapped by the NCAA for a ******* text.

At least get your facts straight.

Maybe* I'm too dumb.

*Of course I am

Certainly not the death penalty, but hardly a slap on the wrist*.

Here are the actual facts:

- "...Reportedly, what drew the NCAA’s attention was a tweet from that night [by Ruiz] that confirmed the meeting. It violated several NCAA recruiting rules, including “impermissible contact” and recruiting “inducement.”..."
-- JFC what a self-inflicted wound...if Ruiz doesn't file suit now and punch back...well then NCAA just walked up and pimp slapped Miami and Ruiz
- 1-yr probation
-- If further violations occur, Miami women's basketball opens itself to additional and more severe sanctions
- $5K fine
- Additional fine equal to 1% of Miami's women's basketball "budget"
- 7% reduction to 2022-2023 academic year official visits
- 9% reduction in allowed 2022-2023 recruiting days
- Miami women's basketball staff not allowed to engage in recruiting communications until 3 weeks after 13 Mar (when transfer portal opens)
- NCAA stated in COI, “The Committee on Infractions will strongly consider disassociation penalties in future cases involving NIL-adjacent conduct...but cannot consider this penalty at this time due to the violation occuring prior to our clarification guidance in May..."
-- It appears NCAA (foolishly or not) isn't afraid to take on Ruiz at all...JFC just brilliant

If they did this to Miami over nobody-gives-a-**** women's basketball, what kinda probing and prodding are they going to do against** the football program?

*Your mileage may vary
**Yes against because those NCAA fuqtards hate Miami

If they had something else they would’ve gotten us for it. This is all they came up with.

I think that disassociation language opens them up for torts trouble if they ever go there. Tortious interference, defamation… someone’s going to get impacted and test the courts.

Lawyer type is as far as you can go with me. 😂 I haven’t practiced in a long time and never remotely in this area of the law so these are just my somewhat layman thoughts. I don’t know at what point the NCAA crosses the line where something is legitimately actionable by Ruiz.

False information

1st in the penalty box for someone who swore up and down how much smarter he was than the NCAA....and now he's got his baby faced kids involved.

See that’s false information you’re posting on here. He did not do a thing wrong. The NCAA got UM because their employee reached out to him.

Now you’re bringing his kids into your campaign here??? You’re literally worse than an opposing fan posing as a Canes fan. Only a ****** fake fan troll would continue down this path vilifying the guy putting millions behind our recruiting efforts, doing the NCAA’s bidding.

Despicable

Not a great look is it? They didn't put Ruiz in the penalty box, but I think I get your point. Not certain yoir point about his kids though...alas...

"..."So I looked, and behold, a pale horse. And the name of him who sat on it was Death, and Hades followed with him. They carried great horns and sounded, "A seal of the Apocalypse has been torn asunder for The Empirical One and CFLCane kinda sorta agree on something in a round about way. Hear this, hear me! Use your Amazon gift cards quickly before they expire as we shall lay low this Earth with war, famine, and pestilence for your CIS sins...the Time of Judgement is upon you!..."

So not only are you doubling down on your criticism of Ruiz SR but your also now dragging his sons into your slander.

I haven’t met Ruiz or anyone in his family nor any of his associates. I highly doubt you have either. To judge any person without talking/meeting them face to face is irresponsible at best.

Do some of his actions open him up for scrutiny? Certainly. But to speculate about HIS intent/motive or that of his family while also calling them derogatory name’s nullify’s any validity to your speculation or conjecture.

When I read what is available open source, it appears the bruhahah is over:

- Ruiz's Feb tweet sparked investigation
- It would have been 100% ok IF...
-- Miami staffers had no involvement in dinner
-- Conversation was about NIL rather than coming to Miami (parties indicate no discussion of NIL occurred at dinner)

Is this basically correct oh great CIS barristers?
