Ruiz: Decisions are expected to be made today.

I don't believe that because Mario stated (forgot where I read this) that his decision wouldn't be about money. What you heard would contradict this.
You can believe it or not but this info is from the people close to him that if Oregon offered over a certain amount he would stay and if he did not get that amount by this morning he was done with Oregon and he is ours.

My pure speculation...it was a done deal weeks ago. Mas/Ruiz/Lemonis are not going to let themselves be very publicly shot down. If Mario communicated that he preferred to stay at Oregon then the Columbus group would've already moved on to plan B. I believe this slight delay is due to Mario wanting to do his exit "the right way".
Exactly, you can't say you'll do it the right way and then not include your alma mater in that. Plus Cribby has a Mario profile pic so we're good.

I have a weird feeling we are going to keep Manny as DC. As absolutely crazy as it sounds. He’s technically both so your just taking one role from him. It would make sense that Manny would then get Wes to commit. Because he still knows who his DC is.
Maybe I’ve been following this too much! 😂😂
I might need a timeout. WTF is wrong with me!

Stop it. This is a video game and emotions dont exist. Except when it comes to Miami and then there can be emotions. 👀
At the same time, it's not like he's been presented this decision after Friday night. This has been in works for a while and there would have been communication between Ruiz (the main financier) and him since they are family. That doesn't mean the decision is easy. But he would have time to process and go through a strategy of how to break the relationship with Oregon (if it happens).

But I do think if it's Oregon it wouldn't have taken this long. I'd be surprised if he doesn't come.

It would have to be crazy money. Miami is most likely in the $8 million per year range with him .. so if it's just money ... to offset the Oregon State taxes ... and the lure of "going home to his (supposed) dream job .. it would have to be CRAZY $$ similar to USC kind of money.

That might work as long as they change the coach in charge of tickling....I mean tackling

This will be beyond devastating if Miami has to be stretched this far with Mario only to have him turn us down for more money at Oregon. I am skeptical it is totally about money.
You all are not thinking correctly. They made an offer ours was higher he told them it’s this much to stay and now it’s Oregon’s turn to negotiat. Do you really think they are not going back and forth. Come on and yes it’s crazy money he wants to stay.

Please don't say that. Makes me sick. This is absolutely not true.

At some point during the long road of life, it may be advantageous to pull off the road and take a rest.

People can say that, but it depends on how big the gap is. If Oregon throws something crazy at him, it will be hard to turn it down.

If we have to outbid Phil Knight, this can't possibly be good sign.

Tim Reynolds was the guy who tweeted from his source that it wasn't about money. So question I have who is your source for this info? Sources do matter.
