There were ALOT of threads questioning GR and all of those threads need to absolutely be bumped if he does what we all think he does.

I don't see what's funny about that, Phillips can play just about every position across the front 7. Rousseau is good but Phillips is more refined. If you look a Rousseau tape a lot of his sacks were coverage sacks

Idk why.. Phillips was viewed as the better Edge prospect in the Draft pretty much unanimously. That's why he was drafted higher. Phillips tested better at their combine. Phillips is faster, he has a better get off, he's more refined. He can drop into coverage. He can play every position on the front 7. Phillips is going to be a star in the NFL, he's just being crossed trained in Miami at multiple positions so it's going to take him some time to settle in but he's already won they'd starting OLB job. Rousseau is good to be very good in the NFL but I like Phillips better and I know a ton of smart scouting people who know wayyyyy more then me who feel the same.

He had 15.5 sacks and he didn't start the first 3-4 games of the year. That's an absurd thing to say.

How many sacks in college you have doesn't mean you will be the better player. Jaelan still had 8.5 Sacks 15.5TFL and 35 QB Pressure's in 10 Games, it's not like he didn't ball either

You referred to his "coverage" sacks in college so i also talked about his sacks in college so it was completely on topic.

I think Jaelan will be good too, i was just saying the coverage sack comment was dumb.

Phillips is playing out of position and will struggle to make an impact until Flores decides to stop playing at LB. I hate this system for Phillips. I'm a life long Phins fan but Phillips needed to go to a team that plays a 4/3.

Rosseau on the other hand is about to be the best DE in the league in the next few years. They are gushing over him in Buffalo.

Agree, jaelan needs to to have his hands in the dirt. He was considered the most polished edge rusher out the draft and now he’s gotta run to get to the LOS.

Not to mention they took his elite speed and twitch for the position and brought him back to OLB, where it’s merely good instead of elite.

Those were all pretty insane arguments. By that I mean they both have the potential to be great so it just got weird hearing people criticize two of most highly coveted players in years.

Phillips is a really good DE. I wasn’t as blown away as some in the NFL I guess. He was getting feedback that surprised me but he’s still a **** good player.

but Rousseau is just on another level. Even as a first year player he was absolutely unstoppable against the run or pass

I never understood the “project” part either. Maybe from a size standpoint? But all he did was dominate every time he was on the field. That’s not a project.

If he would have played last year they would have been talking about him as the elite DE in the country

If he played last year he would have been a top 5 pick.

He is this good already and has been playing DE for like 3 years. The kid has so much to learn and will win DPLOY in my opinion.

We were hearing about Rousseau the moment he stepped on greentree.. and it wasnt the typical greentree all american where we hype mediocre players, dude was a legit dude who stood out and was dominant in practice as a true freshman. He was getting PT as a true freshman at DE but got a season ending injury.. Then dude comes back and because of seniority we have him on bench first 6 games and then when he does play finally (our coaches bruh, to keep a freak on bench and get asked by even susan every week when he will start finally, ******* corches) he explodes.. I know some get lost in measurables and combine numbers but Rousseau just knows how to get to qb

Yeah man I get why Phillips is getting the NFL love but let’s not act like those guys don’t make huge mistakes. Too much emphasis on testing numbers and measurable at times

you just watch the games and Rousseau even as a skinny young kid lined up on the interior was unstoppable

You don’t need to overthink it with him

Phillips can definitely be a Hybrid 3-4 OLB... Flores scheme is just difficult to learn as a rookie. Phillips has the Speed and agility to play every position in the front 7. He just needs time to develop. Flores needs to simplify thing's for Phillips as a rookie though and give him one specific role
 
Yea, Greg is good. Fins missed until Jaelen starts to play more.

Told y’all dudes he was a top 10 talent. Now the league is gonna find out the hard way.
