How does this team’s roster line against a “very good” Miami team (11 wins, but not NC caliber)

QB: TVD a legit starter.
RB: Parrish is a change of pace 3rd down back. No one else plays.
WR: X might be a starter. Young might be a starter. Maybe one backup.
TE: 2 fringe starters. Probably backups.
OL: Zion is a borderline starter. No one else.

DL: No starters. Mesidor and Taylor might see 10-15 snaps.
Corner: No starters. Two backups.
Safety: No starters. 2 backups.
Lb: Two backups. No one else plays.

This roster has, being generous, maybe 4 guys that start out of 22 on a very good Miami team. And another 6 or 8 that might see meaningful snaps.

That’s it. That’s godawful.

This is a 7/8 win roster. I was told once by a fairly well known Power 5 coach that a good coach is worth two wins and a bad coach cost a roster two games…

We are probably going 5-7.

Pull out the PS3s

NCAA 14 revamped yourselves back to the glory years, guys until CFB 23 comes out. 🤷🏿‍♂️

The practices really are a problem. I did some marketing work for a pretty good SEC team this summer.

I was invited to a practice. I didn’t get to see a full practice at UM under Cristobal this offseason, but this SEC practice was a totally different animal than any practice I saw under Diaz or Richt.

Faster, more competitive and a little bit of fear among the players. A starting WR for this team had a bad practice. Had a drop and then half-assed a route. Coach said loud enough for everyone on the O to hear: “Son if you can’t fuc****catch or run routes, then get the fu** off my field.” Player said something back to the coach. 3 PLAYERS got in his face about it.

Player kicked out of practice, didn’t play a snap the next game.

Even with the roster you listed should easily be able to beat MTSU and Doook

This is flat out on coaching and failing to identity best how to WIN WITH THE TALENT ON HAND!

Why must we continue to hire coaches who can only coach one certain scheme or way… zero creativity… zero fire,… boring loser mentality

It’s likely something way way more damaging than just not trying or not working hard during the week.
We should be able to sleep walk and beat mtsu.

It’s on all levels…. The coaching staff obviously thought this was a D2 team and were **** bent on still implementing their stupid azzz scheme with personal that didn’t match

They let the dog come up two easy scores and we’re chasing their tails all game and got blasted because they were confident playing with fire…. With the money Mario got he should have had no problem hiring young innovative coaches burning to move up and make a name for themselves

you make zero sense here. You say our practices are a problem, yet you also said you haven't seen us practice... So with that said. How TF would you know if you've never seen a practice under Mario.

I’m talking about a culture issue. Maybe Cristobal’s practices are way better. But the three coaches prior had underwhelming practices that I watched first hand.
