I'm starting to get the feeling that our practices being run hard by coaches w/ a reputation for discipline has become a big problem. By this I mean that when you're pushing hard all the freakin time and it doesn't translate into being put in a position to succeed on gamedays, you start losing the locker room little by little. The confidence level starts falling off.
When I've watched us play this season, I don't see confidence and/or fun very much. If it looks like a grind to us, imagine what it's like for the players who are the ones actually going/being put through it? Contrast that to what you've seen from Heupel's players this season. Those kids are enjoying what they're doing no matter the obstacle or circumstance of the moment. They play loose AND confident. Can we honestly say the same?
