Romello Brinson transfers to SMU

AAC is about equal to the ACC in difficulty. obviously, it drops once UCF and Cincy officially begin in the b12, but last years AAC wasn't worse than last years ACC.
You mean the same UCF and Cincinnati embarrassed by Duke and Louisville in their respective bowl games? And by the way Louisville beat UCF during the regular season. Same for NC State over East Carolina. Same for Duke over Temple and Louisville over South Florida.

Unless I am mistaken the ACC was 6-0 against the AAC head-to-head.

ACC also had a winning bowl record overall with all the loses being extremely close outside of Tennessee beating Clemson by 17. Not saying its a world beater conference but I think the poor quality is being greatly exaggerated.

That happened a LOT under Golden lol, I knew someone who played during that era
the stuff I heard from a former player during the golden era about how they game planned and stuff. you'd be shocked well you wouldn't actually considering the results. people need to realize, this is a lot more common than it isnt

Correct. Not that this is the only metric, but Bill Connelly does his SP+ for the conferences each year as a whole.

The final rankings after the regular season were:

1. SEC -- 14.6 avg
2. Big 12 -- 12.6 avg
3. Big 10 -- 9.1 avg
4. Pac 12 -- 6.1 avg
5. ACC -- 2.2 avg
6. AAC -- 0.9 avg

So, he has the ACC a little better overall. But it's close. And the ACC absolutely sucks out loud. The worst P5 league by a wide margin. Just an abomination of a league, as usual.
nah but bowl records (where half the rosters are depleted are what matter the most!). people need to stop thinking the ACC is this superior football conference. Clemson literally saves it year after year.

Nah, b. ACC is a better conference. No disrespect to the AAC which is good fun footbal.

ACC's mid beat up 2/3 of the AAC during bowl season.
you realize bowl season is a farce right? it isnt even a good indicator for any league considering how many opt outs there are. bowl season turned into NFL preseason. some schools were missing 30 kids heading into the bowl game. do the metrics and its not as much of a gap you guys make it out to be. the ACC is pretty horrific and barely p5 in football

Then explain head-to-head during the season, too? AAC's flagship team this year lost to Southern Miss. A team that an awful Miami team beat. The ACC was 4-0 against the AAC.

It’s barely a P5 league.
So you are going to tell be that the Big 12 is 10 pts better than the ACC using that guy's metrics? Bull****. Take TCU out of the equation even Kansas State and they were no better than the ACC. The Big 12 is only 2 points under the SEC? What a joke! Georgia beat TCU like it was playing Austin Peay. And Alabama embarrassed the Big 12 champs.

Brother, your take is feelings not facts.

The ACC is a level up conference from the AAC. That isn't a disrespect to the AAC, or trying to prop up the ACC as something its not...its just facts, man. Different levels of football.

SP+ conference rankings...ACC is above AAC. Sagarin ratings...there are 3 ACC teams ahead of the best AAC team (Tulane), 7 teams before you get to AAC #2 (Cincinnati).

Find any other metrics that disagree, and we can talk about it. I’m willing to bet you can’t.

You’re not looking at things as a whole. This is the entire league. Not the top. The reason the ACC is so bad is UVA, VT, BC, and GT were literally 4 of the very worst P5 teams in the whole country. That’s over a quarter of your league.

The Big 12 was miles better than the ACC as well. First of all, your argument is nonsense. “Take out TCU and K-State”. Huh? They’re in the league. You’re the guy who says, sure, our running back had 240 yards rushing, but take out those two 80-yard runs and what did he do? Ummmm, those count.

TCU, Texas, K-State, OU, Oklahoma State, and Baylor were probably all Top 50 teams. The last 3 weren’t great, but they’re better than Syracuse, Miami, NC State, etc.

Top to bottom, the Big 12 was a much better league. Stop the nonsense. The ACC sucks balls. Miami, UVA, VT, GT, and BC had to be 5 of the worst 10 power 5 teams in the country. Who were worse than those 5? Colorado, Stanford, Northwestern, maybe Rutgers. Iowa State? All 5 of those ACC teams were worse than anyone in the SEC. The league is hot garbage.

I added Jeff Sagarin’s ratings too for context. He’s only been doing this for like 40 years. See the pic. ACC coastal is the worst P5 division, as usual. And as a group is worse than the AAC lmao.

Lashlee isn’t stupid. Hes not taking any of these kids out of a sense of loyalty. If he’s offering them a ride, he thinks they can play.

I have a strong suspicion multiple players, including Brinson, are going to ball out for him.

Yeap.....wait for that thread on former players Ballin at other schools, especially if we have another poor season.

Lol, yeah if you take the best teams out of the equation, the conference is much weaker.

Again, the point is the ACC was 6-0 against the AAC. ACC was 3-2 against the Big 12 for reference. And yes, the SEC owns the ACC. 7-4 against the ACC this year.

Wait… ACC! A-C-C!!!

Is this part of our prep to move to the SEC?

The evaluation of conferences is amazing here depending on the underlying subject of the thread…
