Romello Brinson transfers to SMU

It's because he's a South Fla guy. A number of these people here have hard ons for everyone who comes out of that area.
The good and great ones u get a hard on for.....pause. but the lower tier just cause they put up any good game for temple or fiu doesn't mean they can do it here or the NFL. That's the problem for some posters. They will see someone throw for 300 yards at smu and think they can play here or it's a miss. **** is crazy sometimes. Sfla HS ball although the best still isn't cfb. It's a different jump from HS to college it's a big leap.

What part do you not understand? He ran a 4.4 at one point. He is not slow. Sure, he did not produce. Can't argue with that. However, not sure how you can say he is slow. Again, Lashlee is not going to hand out a scholly to a "slow" WR.
If he ran a 4.4 then why wasn't he out there blowing by guys for 2 years? There's also character issues too which is something Miami doesn't need anymore.

So you lost that argument and moved onto character issues. Got it.
How did I lose the argument if we haven't seen his "speed" and "good hands" for two years here? Figured his lack of speed and awful hands were good enough for people to realize we aren't losing much with him at SMU. Character issues is the cherry on top.

I was always a Brinson fan. When Dmoney was reporting that a WR was not stepping up in fall camp I found it hard to believe Brinson was not. What we as fans do not see is work ethic. Maybe that is what he lacks, plus he can't block worth a ****. But the guy is a gazelle and has really good hands.
Yea he is talented. I said it in spring last year, worst thing you want to be when a new staff comes in for spring is INJURED. Him and The DE were out for spring and they both transferred. Unless you have some previous film you can fall behind easy.. Plus his mentality he thought he was owed pt, college is different.. hopefully he go with better mindset in dallas.. He has alot of talent to ball out

I'm a firm believer in letting the marketplace decide one's value (the invisible hand). In this example he went to a lower division program but he did get recruited by a head coach who coached him. I see that as a plus.

We'll see how this shakes out.

Many a time its best and classiest to thank a player for their time with us and wish them the best with their new team, BUT, there are certain players who never gave us that respect, and now they dont deserve our best wishes.

Good luck young King.

you can tell how some on here act after break ups in real life.
Why would any self respecting Canes fan wish good luck to a kid who was negative recruiting us telling local kids to go elsewhere?

Lashlee has now brought 5 former Canes to SMU vs 0 who followed Diaz to Penn St. Speaks volumes about who the players respected under the previous staph.
OR Penn St has much better players already on campus than SMU (or Miami) and doesn't want our transfers. Not that Lash isn't more respected but I dont know if the transfer situation reflects that.
