Robbery......Absolute Robbery

two hands on the ball
two feet down
one foot is then out of bounds
then catch is broken up?

gtfooh and eat ****
As I understand the rules, it was a TD. Play is over as soon as his feet (one foot in college) touch the end zone while he has possession. He had two hands on the ball, was holding securely. The DB knocks it out well after the play was over. The ref was an ACC ref. Honestly, the ACC better take a long hard look at its officials. They seem to mess up repeatedly.

I don’t get agree with the call but it’s not egregious.

Finish the play. It’s the call you should expect at ND.
Yea. Gotta be stronger and finish the play. Also gotta finish at the 1 yard line instead of a FG. Opportunities were always going to be limited so you couldn’t afford to not capitalize. Fought hard. Need to make sure ND doesn’t beat us twice now. Duke is capable of being pesky on O.

You can be out of bounds and still be ruled not finishing the catch going to the ground. Grey area at best.
But he wasn’t bobbling the ball in bounds and didn’t bobble it after establishing his footing out of bounds. Getting the ball knocked out after taking a step or two out of bounds shouldn’t have mattered

Again, that’s how I would’ve called it. But, I’m also not surprised it wasn’t. Announcer said he didn’t make a football move. That’s probably their justification.

Add to that, don't allow a 50-yard pass on 4th down. And maybe, try to get at least one sack.

I’m going to have to find a replay, but the way I remembered it, Lofton caught the ball, had 2 feet down then stepped out of bounds while still holding the ball away from his body with possession. The defender then knocked it out of his hands. Receiver does not have to cradle/bring the ball to his body in order to establish control.

For those of you saying that it wasn’t a catch please explain your rationale. I legitimately want to hear the counter argument..
