Rip Kobe Bryant

Fellas, just ignore the bigoted scumbag & focus on celebrating & mourning the lives of Kobe, Gigi, the Altobelli & Chester family.

Don't feed the troll, he clearly needs attention, you guys should stop giving it to him.

He's not even worth going back & forth with.

I’m thinking Kobe didn’t sign his autograph or maybe he reached out his hand and Kobe looked at it and simply said, Mamba, bytch.

I just need something to justify this venom Blood is spewing

Yo.

some of y’all making wild assumptions about the Pilot and Kobe.

They will do an investigation and the details should come out later. Let’s not run with a bunch of wild stories about Kobe or the Pilots decision making.

RIP to the lives lost.

There appears to be several of us who know about flight operations.

We aren't guessing.

I don’t even want to do the kill trolls dead stuff on him. It’s not even funny, it’s actually sad and concerning.

You calling him "Kobe" like you're on a first name basis is sad. The dude never even heard of you, probably wouldn't even spit in your direction, but he's such a big part of your life. Sad.

A basketball player should not be a role model for young people, period. No entertainer should. I don't care if he's a hard-working basketball player.

You go to a high school in an upper-class part of the country and ask kids what they want to be, they'll tell you "doctor" or "lawyer" or some **** like that. You go to a high school in a poor neighborhood and ask the kids what they want to be, maybe 1/10 will say "doctor" or "lawyer" and the rest will say some kind of athlete or rapper.

And then they'll grow up to become nothing, to where guys like Kobe Bryant wouldn't even spit in their direction if he passed by. They'll just be broke-*** 30 year old grown *** men still wearing sports jerseys, making $15 an hour and living with their mothers.

If my kid wanted to idolize an athlete, he's getting the belt.

Upper class? Doctors and lawyers are straight up middle class. That said you are 100% correct. I grew up in a very poor area and most kids wanted to grow up to be rappers, athletes, or kingpins. In more middle class areas, kids grow up wanting to be doctors and lawyers.

The worthless, pieces of ****, in this thread still do not understand why this guy was transcendent & much more than just a basketball player. Public figures are role models whether we like to admit it or not. The ones that fully embrace this platform & responsibility, have the potential to be revered by the masses, and become legendary. He was one of those rare individuals. The world lost one of it's brightest stars, and someone who left an indelible mark. The void that he left behind will be difficult to fill

One thing people fail to account for is that he frequently flew in helicopters and thusly would have been comfortable with doing so in slightly foggy weather.

Depends on what kind of Doctor and Lawyer you are. Specialists make retarded money.

I wanted to be a soldier growing up; particularly, flying medevac helicopters. Most of the males in my family were in the military. Things didn't work out that way for me though.

Didn't touch the Kobe subject because frankly, wasn't a Lakers fan. Always respected his work ethic and one of the last of the old guard to play in the modern era. Basketball was a very different game when I grew up playing it, and Kobe was representative of that era.

Died much too young; his daughter as well....

Kids need better role models.

If a basketball player is your **** role model, you need to be smacked

It's not about that, Kobe's way of approaching things and his mentality is what made him great, if kids in any sport or just in life in general approach things the way he did we'd be better. If the kids on our team had that menatality we'd be up for a ship. Thats the role model part, but I dont expect you to understand...He's the perfect example of when talent works hard
