Ridley feeling Miami and Bama

not true. nothing changed. yes, the relevance of bama locally is overstated.

I personally can see the day where Texas is a bigger threat to cherry pick kids from down here than Bama.

Ehh, enough talent in Texas where Strong won't have much time to focus on Florida. Bama isn't chalked with as much talent.

You could be (and hopefully are) right. I just don't see Strong completely abandoning Florida if he gets that program rolling. Remove Bama from their recent success, age Lil Nicky a few more years and Texas, their facilities and Austin blow Bama out of the water in attractiveness. Again though, we win and our true pool of competition obviously significantly narrows.

How many 2015 kids have Texas in their top group? He doesn't have time to spend down here. Has to regain control of Texas with the emergence of A&M and Baylor. Then he's still fighting off LSU, Oklahoma, and Okie State for kids.

You think we're bad down here? Imagine if Strong doesnt recruit Texas well the racism in that state will get up very high very soon

texas more a threat down here? LOL!!! the 1st guy to abandon texas talent will be fired. they can cherry pick an Oklahoma player here and there and maybe cali, but, if that team isn't 85-90%, that coach is screwed.
Exactly, Texas doesn't need florida.

Very simple, the only real notable recruits for Fire were Phillips, SBB and Ridley while the other side was absolutely loaded so those 2 ad the coaches (I think more the coaches then the players) decided to use that as a way to get the team a much bigger spotlight then they originally had.
lol they have the best 7on7 team in florida this year. they didn't need attention at the tryouts. so, that having been said, who got attention that needed it? pleas enlighten us? tia

Name all of the studs there for them this year other then the 3 that I named
Kato, Samuels 3rd, Durante, Clevan Thomas, Cavin Ridley (brother BIGGER FASTER STRONGER) McGee, Hoggins, Faulk, Victor, James Gardner, Atwell, Young, Jeff hill (needs some offers), Williams… should I continue?

Better than cole, both mcfaddens, tim, quan, lmao

Good team yea not the best

And to answer your question fire rarely had any reporters at their practices, their "announcement" brought almost every major recruiting analyst
yes they are better. i guess we'll see. However, if they are so bad and you don't know anything about them, i guess the stunt failed? there was nothing to be gained by that announcement. every major recruiting analyst knows about the kids i listed. thanks for proving my point

Does anyone else remember like a month or so ago when SBB was re tweeting a girl that goes to her school saying to him that she saw him and Calvin talking to Mario decked out in Canes gear?

I can see texas being somewhat of a threat with florida kids because strong might fall back on his florida ties if he is getting hammered by A&M

See I can admit that I dont go crazy about the 7 on 7s so I didnt follow the rosters but I remember reading that the squad wasn't loaded so they did it to give everybody attention maybe im wrong

They have a good team no doubt, but no one ever went to their practices and everyone goes to the express tryouts, so yea the coaches want more coverage

I doubt strong bothers with Florida. Texas has everything he needs. He may make a run at 1-3 nationally rated guys OOS like Jordan Hicks every year, but probably 90-95% of his classes will be Texas kids.

He doesn't even have his Florida recruiter, Hurtt, anymore.

He'll make an attempt like UM makes a very small attempt yearly at Texas. The resources are there locally but the talent in other states are too good to not at least try in So Flo yearly just a little

Yeah, for a nationally rated guy like Dalvin Cook.

He doesn't need to go OOS to fill his classes. Miami has to go out of SoFla to find positions that aren't plentiful in SoFla like DT, OT and OG.

Strong can find everything he needs in Texas. If he leaves the state for a player, it'll most likely be a special player that everyone wants. He's not gonna waste his time going after a 3-star guy in Florida when he can find the exact same player in Texas.

Yeah basically what I mean. There were like 5 guys out of Texas at least that couldve been the top players at their positions down in So Fla if they went to school here and same with guys here if they went to school in Texas so there will always be a couple special players that can be at least pursued and nobody would complain

it didn't get them anything. still waiting to find out who was there that wouldn't go to the games or see every kid that tried out on the field? how did it help them? the fire and express have split the last two years fwiw. the fire is better this year. everyone knows the deal with the express now… so i'm pretty sure most are careful with them.

Problem is UT has Oklahoma, Baylor, TCU, TT, OK State, LSU, Arkansas to name a few that are basically living in Texas for the most part to recruit so it makes it even harder for them

I agree that its stupid, but that was the case with them, i like fire this year, like i said good team, i like express a little more JMO but we will see

With the same amount of D-1 players coming out of there as we produce in Florida too:

So there are limitations to Strong being able to completely survive in-state but I'm not worried about them or anything. My original point was just that we overblow Bama/Saban's influence here and that I could see Strong filling that void for a handful of top local recruits once Bama fades.

Which is exactly why he can't afford to waste time on SoFLA reaches.
