Ridley feeling Miami and Bama

Not that it isn't a factor with Ridley but I'm also of the mindset of some around here that Bama's relevance in local recruiting has been overestimated in some of our minds. That said, it's going to be refreshing as **** after Bama has another disappointing season and they become a non-factor down here. Then we can just focus on discrediting Muschump's successor, laughing at Fat Bielema or getting screwed by L$U bagmen every once in a while.
Mario is very very very good. don't underestimate him using everything to his advantage. theres a reason they didn't pull the trigger a few weeks ago, and he was it.

Cristobal loses all juice down here if we start winning. His play now is "I'm a Cane and I bleed orange and green but even I can see the program is far off. Come to Bama!". On top of that, if Bama's 5-star o-line performs as atrociously as it did to finish last season then Lil Nicky is going to need a fall guy. He'll just assume that Kiffin can handle Florida.
not what he's selling. he's smarter than that. he's not winning but he's 1B and that was enough to stop them a few weeks ago.

That is not true

so what was the reason?

maybe the reason they didn't pull the trigger is because they never intended to commit that weekend anyways... It was a bs pr stunt to get the media to the Fire tryouts.

So Fat Luigi doesn't negative recruit at all and completely leaves his connection to our program off the table? He's just selling Bama for Bama, huh? Me thinks you're giving him a little too much credit and are taking too much stock in the rumors that those kids had planned to commit that day.

to add to that, who has Mario even pulled since he's been at Bama of relevance locally and even as to who we've really wanted?

not true. nothing changed. yes, the relevance of bama locally is overstated.

I personally can see the day where Texas is a bigger threat to cherry pick kids from down here than Bama.

Ehh, enough talent in Texas where Strong won't have much time to focus on Florida. Bama isn't chalked with as much talent.

You could be (and hopefully are) right. I just don't see Strong completely abandoning Florida if he gets that program rolling. Remove Bama from their recent success, age Lil Nicky a few more years and Texas, their facilities and Austin blow Bama out of the water in attractiveness. Again though, we win and our true pool of competition obviously significantly narrows.

It was a PR stunt, they were never going to announce that day

Very simple, the only real notable recruits for Fire were Phillips, SBB and Ridley while the other side was absolutely loaded so those 2 ad the coaches (I think more the coaches then the players) decided to use that as a way to get the team a much bigger spotlight then they originally had.

‘We’re going to go to college together. I got to be with him, well I ain’t got to be with him but you know, I want to play with him in college.”

This made me chuckle for some reason.

lol they have the best 7on7 team in florida this year. they didn't need attention at the tryouts. so, that having been said, who got attention that needed it? pleas enlighten us? tia

Kato, Samuels 3rd, Durante, Clevan Thomas, Cavin Ridley (brother BIGGER FASTER STRONGER) McGee, Hoggins, Faulk, Victor, James Gardner, Atwell, Young, Jeff hill (needs some offers), Williams… should I continue?

Bama worries me here for sure. I know they don't beat us out often but SBB playing for Saban worries me and Ridley may follow....though I really don't buy it till it happens.

texas more a threat down here? LOL!!! the 1st guy to abandon texas talent will be fired. they can cherry pick an Oklahoma player here and there and maybe cali, but, if that team isn't 85-90%, that coach is screwed.

How many 2015 kids have Texas in their top group? He doesn't have time to spend down here. Has to regain control of Texas with the emergence of A&M and Baylor. Then he's still fighting off LSU, Oklahoma, and Okie State for kids.

Better than cole, both mcfaddens, tim, quan, lmao

Good team yea not the best

And to answer your question fire rarely had any reporters at their practices, their "announcement" brought almost every major recruiting analyst

That's why I said cherry pick. Kind of like Bama does now. Would you concede that Strong is actually a better recruiter of Florida than Saban? My point was just that I can envision a scenario in the future where Bama completly fades from the radar here and Texas becomes more active. Not to the point where the more delusional Texas fans would ever be complaining that Golden...errr....Strong is passing up local talent in favor of northeast ...err...Florida kids though.

Sorry, Sileo gave me a stroke last year.
