Richt's Team Meeting With UGA

***** Here's how it went down...

Richt had a team meeting to tell them he is NOT coaching the bowl game.

As soon as Richt walked in, the team held up "The U" and started yelling and celebrating with him. That lasted a few minutes.

Then he told them he loved them, that his number will stay the same and that he will always be there for them.

He left by saying, life is about people, not rings... He said rings collect dust.

A LOT of emotion and tears in this meeting I've been told.

I might be able to root for Georgia next year. Just a little though.

Good deal. Sounds like the players love him. Maybe we won't have to worry about the locker room falling apart and players not buying in.

I predict tomorrow our new coach gets choked up during his introduction this is his last coaching job his last shot at a title and he's coming home!!!

We can argue statistics and who is a better coach for this and that, but one thing we should all be able to agree on is the quality of his character. Richt is a stand-up guy.

I wanted Butch or Herman (well, really Patterson is my true #1 ) but am prepared to drink the kool-aid...for a little while.

Can you imagine this scenario with Golden leaving? I'm sure there was plenty of celerbating going on.. but not for that reason.

I imagine that after Golden was announced fired it might have looked something like this.....

Cool story. He is a good guy and well liked by pretty much everyone in the football world.

That said, college football is about rings. W's are all that matter.

I'd imagine that's why he brought it up. Basically saying we didn't reach our goal but life goes on, go make the world a better place.

Not sure what people wanted him to say.

They wanted him to say we did not win a ring so you are failures. I am a failure too.
Butch has no rings but he is better than I am. He should REALLY be the coach of Miami. But i luckily got the job.

He should have punched out a few of his former players, flipped over a podium and ate a bag of roofing nails. Anything other than that, and he's not tough enough for UM.

Funny though. Satan doesn't even say bye to the Dolphin players and he wins 3 more national title rings. RINGS DO MATTER!!!

Regardless I'm rolling with Mark. He's way way way way better than what we've had in the last 15 years. We should win the Coastal easily in 2016, maybe even the ACC. Question is, when is that RING coming?

And he'll still always be short.

That's a cool story, obviously his players love him. I'm so glad that our administration sacked up and brought this guy in to be our head ball coach, we are really heading in the right direction!!!!
