Richt's playcalling

All of you blaming Richt's play calling are a bunch of bad losers. Poor offensive execution, dropped passes, Brad missing guys that are wide open, OL not run or pass blocking consistently, Lewis steps out at the 3 to start the game, etc. makes play calling look worse than it is. Our offense is bad. We have an average quarterback who isn't mobile, good running backs, receivers who can't get separation and a pretty good defense. No matter what Richt calls people are going to complain because its the easy thing to do when you're frustrated.

This is not our year, we have to sign better players if we want to get back to elite. It will be on Richt and staff if he doesn't address our needs in 2017.

Go read Lucane's latest post and then apologize for posting this garbage.

Too bad our current recruiting class is totally average.... no better or worse than any recruiting class we've had in the past 5 years

We actually have fans defending that **** show of a play book Richt is trotting out there. Wow. He literally ran the ball off tackle three straight times when we were down 10 late in the 4th quarter. I totally agree that the dropped passes, Kaaya, and the OL were all huge factors but Richt's play calling is straight up garbage.

You've been around long enough to know the retards go full ****** in these moments.

Nope, some of you are in denial and think its the play calling thats causing the OL to suck and Brad to miss key throws and not be mobile and receivers to drop passes when they're wide open. Richt is calling plays based on his teams ability to execute and right now the OL isn't getting it done. If the OL can't run block half the time and can't pocket protect half the time then you can't move the chains and play calling will look suspect. Its the easiest thing to blame.

Pot meet Kettle with that first sentence

anyone that expects a coach to do well with what Folden n Friends left behind is not thinking correctly... let these guys get THEIR kind of players in... just look at Chris Petersen at UW, perfect example

i dont agree with the play calling but there are LOTS of other factors involved... no need to give up

Some of us get that, but apparently if "LuCane" doesn't like some play calls then fire up the banners.

RPO with a cement shoes QB. Richt is gonna tarnish his name this year. Horrible stupid non adjusting play calling, he's trying to jam a square peg into a round hole.

And Kaaya has no business EVER stepping foot on an NFL field. He's a *****

Seriously. RPO works a lot better when there is a threat of the QB keeping ball and running. This is insanity to run on offence.

You're right on...and rather than adjust to his personnel's strengths and weaknesses, Richt is just gonna call his game his way on principle... F'n disaster.

Square peg, round hole....

Yet Diaz seems to be doing just fine with the players Golden left him. Shouldn't Richt be held to the same standard if he is the one calling the plays?

We're witnessing some of the worst play calling in the history of the program.

Running into 8 and 9 man looks. There are drives and sequences when he waits until 3rd and long, after 2 failed early down runs, to THEN pass the ball. Even the then the routes being called in those plays just beg for the defense to squat on everything short cause we're often running 10 yard stops and comebacks on 3rd and 10, across the board.

Anyone in this or any other thread claiming that the O-Line, Kaaya, the weather, or the economy are to blame here don't have a ****ing clue what they are talking about. Same QB as last year. Basically the same O-line....yet everything looks worse.

Richt is bordering on Pat Nix levels. This offensive scheme is an abomination.

UNC blew us out a lot worse last year. We also played FSU tougher this year.

The team looks better than last year.

Not our offense. Our defense looks better this year. Our offense scored less points this year than last year with basically the same players while our defense held them to way less points than last year. That's why fans are disappointment with Ritct's offense and think his unit is to blame.

Because it's impossible that there might have been more talent on defense. Good lord.

Another person who must have been in a coma when this same type garbage was said for the three former failed coaches.

So, now our starting TE's suddenly not (arguably) the best in the country, our starting RB's were not recruited by FSU, UF, TN, etc., McDermott wasn't 4 star highly recruited OL coming from HS, Kayaa wasn't offered by UCLA and other good schools, Coley and Richards weren't highly recruited by the SEC.....etc.......Okay then.
