Richt-"This Gus Edwards kid is pretty dang good"

I think it was and still is a mistake to pigeon hold Gus to a particular running style because he's a big back. I would venture to say he's the fastest of the three (not including Gray) has a good stiff arm as well let him run to daylight and focus on finishing his runs well in short yardage . (pad level down)

While looking at his highlights I ran across the V-Tech game when we we up like 30-6 and Duke Johnson was injured running into the VT bench and then injured more severely I believe out for the year 2014 in a 30-6 game how stupid was that to play Duke in an obvious win.. SMDH.

Memo to self: It's not cool to pigeon hold people. I know I hate it when people pigeon hold me. Actually I believe that Gus's foot injury was a direct result of someone putting a pigeon hold on him

You would think this guy had some Frank Gore type play somewhere in his resume to go with the legend.

Mark likes them big. Problem is Gus tends to run small. If Mark can get him using that size then we might have something. Remember the days when we had fullbacks who carried the ball a lot? Mark was here then. I Gus would be nice in that role.

Miami doesn't possess anybody right now on the roster that has shown themselves equal to what he had at GA over the years.

Walton is the only RB on the roster Richt offered while at UGA. I expect him to be the guy this season.

280 lb fullback . 230 lb tailback . Miami is going back to power football, with a ton of play action.
Hoping that results in more of these

What's a pigeon hold? Some kind of wrestling hold, I guess.

All of these backs are just holding it down until Homer gets in the swing of things, none of these guys touch him in athleticism..

I dunno - I know folks love his athleticism but for all the SPARQ ability he has, it doesn't quite translate to game highlights. Jmo

I've been on the Gus Bus since he first signed with us.

He's the best RB we've had in some time. I was a fan of Duke, but Gus Bus brings more to the table.

In short, he's pretty dang good.

You'll remember that I was on him before anyone else. I was on the Gus Bus before Parrotnose even found a video of him.

BS. I was on the Gus Bus, when the Bus was still a go-cart.

You oldtimers obviously haven't taken your Metamucil and gotta a good nights worth of sleep. I'm driving the Gus Bus and you're my passengers.

I hear it's a 15 yard penalty in NCAAF

Some of you all have to be stupid to not have seen the progress he made from his freshman year to sophomore... If Richt is constantly speaking highly of him even though we have two other great rbs in Year by and Walton then what is there to bxtch about??

Yearby ran over 1000 yards last year, he will be better this year / Walton had double digit TDs he will be better... Which means that we have 3 elite rbs In the rotation but that is something to bxtch about??

None of which had to suffer through X-Box Coley.

U don't have to be HOF caliber rbs to be considered elite... Elite IMO has different levels to it. Ed Reed was elite but also Kenny Phillips just as an example.

I am just happy we have an offensive mind that is going to have the kids just lineup and run the ball near the goal line for TDs.
It does not matter who it is. Gus, Walton, Yearby, the new FB. Just pound the ball into the endzone instead of settling for FGs and we should improve from last year easily.
