The great gus edwards. 6'2 235 and thinks he is 5'9 200. Another so called stud on this team who has never did **** and is 3rd on the depth chart.

You mods are funny .. He played with Duke Johnson who we severely overused and got hurt last year now he cant play yawl are rough..

I think it was and still is a mistake to pigeon hold Gus to a particular running style because he's a big back. I would venture to say he's the fastest of the three (not including Gray) has a good stiff arm as well let him run to daylight and focus on finishing his runs well in short yardage . (pad level down)

While looking at his highlights I ran across the V-Tech game when we we up like 30-6 and Duke Johnson was injured running into the VT bench and then injured more severely I believe out for the year 2014 in a 30-6 game how stupid was that to play Duke in an obvious win.. SMDH.

He might be the fastest over 40 yds, but Yearby and Walton are definitively faster over 5-15 yards, which is more important for a RB. I'm not saying he won't contribute. It's just that some here seem to focus on metrics that aren't necessarily the most important.

Better than Duke? Haha whatever you are drinking, send some my way.

I've been on the Gus Bus since he first signed with us.

He's the best RB we've had in some time. I was a fan of Duke, but Gus Bus brings more to the table.

In short, he's pretty dang good.

I have not formulated an opinion yet re: RBs...

Several fans on this thread split into two camps: Gus is awesome...Gus sucks...

Ok...so call it here...call it now...

Barring freak injury from now until first snap...

Who gets the ball handed to him on Canes' opening day first run play? Who gets most carries for the game? Edwards...Walton...Yearby...other?

salivating at the opportunity to have Gus Edwards lined up in a one back set and have Njoku, Coley, Berrios, and Bruce with Kaaya QB'n. The Greatest Show on Earth part 2??

This statement in that article says it all.

“We probably have six or seven [O-linemen] that can play and be really competitive,” he said. “If we get one or two hurt, it may be trouble.”

Gus isn't a stud, and he doesn't suck. He's a good RB, and the best back on our roster. It's not a wide margin, but he's better than Yearby and Walton.

Gus will be our leading rusher this year.

You'll remember that I was on him before anyone else. I was on the Gus Bus before Parrotnose even found a video of him.

BS. I was on the Gus Bus, when the Bus was still a go-cart.
