If Saban retires I expect them to take the mantle if its anytime soon. Other coaching hires can change that but I havent seen them yet but it can happen but right now they should play favorites to take over for them once Saban is gone.

Plus people forget Richt got BLOWN OUT by saban in year 3 in the SECCG.
Kirby kept it very close and Saban did not have nearly the resources after only a few years at LSU compared to what he does now.

That's not even counting that "Black Out" UGA had in Saban's second year as the favorite. Bama lead at halftime 31-0 before UGA woke up and made it look respectable.

Kirby is going to finish higher in the AP poll in both years. Richt also got blown out by Saban in the SECCG in year 3.

Kirby was also unranked in his first season and Mark was #22, so if we're going by AP poll ranking average of the first two years Richt would come out ahead. But that wasn't the point. Let's see if they win their bowl game before we start giving Kirby free extra credit.
