I prefer grand slam but Homerun works too
I'll call it a grand slam when we win 10 or 11 games and an ACC title.
I've got to say though this is the most optimistic I've felt in almost a decade.
To me it's a near certainty that Richt will lead us to 10-11 win seasons and an ACC title/s. Now, if he leads us to a National Title/s and has us in the playoff picture consistently then I will call his hiring a grand slam. Also, contrary to the cheap propaganda constantly spewed by media hacks with an agenda, I don't think those are lofty unrealistic goals and expectations for this program. With the right head coach and staff those goals are very achievable and should be viewed as such by this fan base.
I was listening to a college football radio show, and they stated that Richt would have had UGA in the playoffs 4 times if they had the playoff system in place the whole time he was there. Don't know if that's a fact, but this dude is usually very careful with the stuff he says on his show.
Well the years he won the SEC he probably would've been since they love conference champions so much, maybe even the 2012 season when they lost to Bama, they've would've been 11-2 with the loss in the SEC championship game
The other records when they won the SEC would've been
2002: 12-1 heading to the playoff
2005: 10-2 heading into the playoff
So there's three strong case, I don't see a fourth one though...
