Richt’s retirement

If football is your purpose than winning is the best testimony. Once again Mark couldn’t get to the next level because he had an old offensive mind not because he felt any conviction about Miami winning again. That’s just dumb

Winning wasn't the message guy. Working hard. Being in the service of others. Love. Teaching these kids there is more to life than football. Being old taught Mork that. In Mork's mind, he has nothing more to prove in the game of football. Winning no longer matters to Mork. You saw it in his play calling. The Notre Dame game exploded with offensive plays and then all of a sudden we ran the same 4 plays over and over. You saw it in his decision making with Losier time after time. Mork shut it down the minute he walked on UMs campus. He lied to himself and the men he hired. Miami is not Georgia. Now he can go and be a Sunday School teacher...

Possibly, but I can tell you this. I lot of people in Georgia really don't like him.

One recent Newspaper poll showed about a 90% favorable Richt rating. Course that was not all football fans, so yea I guess you could say 10% is a lot of people.

People want to rag on him and make fun of him. ( That only shows more about those individuals' lack of character.)
Things did not go the way we wanted (and he wanted), but who cares.

The guy is a class act and not only that brought me some of my favorite Canes moments since 2002. (The Hokies and ND games were surreal. And we finally beat the Noles.)

May the Lord Bless him in whatever he decides to do.

He hated winning so much that he retired when he realized he couldn’t win anymore

Yep. He always seemed like a decent dude, but already like a politician at his events. That's somewhat to be expected I guess from the HC of a P5 school. IDK. Our players were overall never fond of him. Most signed anywhere but UGA during his tenure. Not bashing Richt. As previously mentioned, I am neutral to him on a personal level. UGA only. Never spoke with him when he was at the U.

He can easily be the Governor of Georgia. Could be a Senator, as well.

Name recognition through the roof!

Perfect scenario

State of Georgia address:

We have mountains, but not as many as TM and NC
We have some beaches, but not as beautiful as FL
We produce peaches, but not as many as SC (shhhh ... it’s true)
We have low IQ Morans, but not quite as many as Alabama

Best response in this thread.

Richt's Bible thumper routine would go over well with the simpletons of Arkansas, Alabama, Georgia, and South Carolinas of the world. At Miami, win or get the fxck out.
