Richt’s retirement

Any guesses on what he’ll do to pass the time? Can confirm that his Miami residence is on the market.
I could see him signing with espn for a year. I also expect him to be back on sidelines in a year. maybe with an oc to call plays but I expect him to be a hc again somewhere. probably a school that isn't as demanding as Miami/Georgia. where 8-10 wins a year gives him a coach for life title

I wish him well but I don't think he'd do well on TV as an analyst/announcer. He literally knows nothing about modern offense, game planning, scheming, etc.
I disagree I think he knows the systems. he played against them for pete's sakes he just was a proponent of the prostyle with some spread concepts. that system can work if u have a good to great oline Miami didn't. and it didn't fit Miami players. that is why he is gone. he didn't fit system to his talent. but he knows the spread and its concepts he just didn't believe in them beilma did ok on tv and he hates the spread thinks its a gimmick offense. I also expect richt to take year to recharge study what others are doing in nfl maybe and who knows what that means when gets next hc gig which will get

You're entitled to your opinion but I disagree. If he knew it (remember, he wasn't involved in offensive play calling or scheming since 2006) he would have immediately implemented it here. Especially knowing the type of players Miami gets and lacks, he showed that with his defensive hire and strategy.

No one is hiring him as an OC or HC.

Richt chose not to light the dynamite and let UM explode all over college football for whatever reason. I don't think it was his faith but because he has built this caricature of himself as being this noble God fearing man and would be a hypocrite to let a beast like UM to be unleashed...Manny has just enough ruthlessness to allow UM to be UM...like Denzel said: " You gotta be who you are in this world"...UM needs to be UM and Richt wasn't up to the task.

Completely agree

False. My brother is ER training doc at UGA, they feel same as many here- appreciate him but want somebody to win it all. They already don’t like Kirby as a person and just hoping he can win... but he is already being criticized

Yeah most people in GA love Richt the person. They just ran there course with Richt the coach. Very similar to his situation here.

I award you no points.

He was a good coach that did some great things but he wasn’t an elite coach with killer drive. It has nothing to do with him being a Christian. Dabo is a Christian too

The guy hasn't even updated his Twitter account since his retirement, he's completely checked out. My guess is that he's on his way back to GA. He liked living down here but he probably wants to leave the city.

Please.... he has an agent who works exit strategies into the contract... it is doesn't have to be a long drawn out deal

Again everyone close to the program said he walked away without a buyout but let’s just go with your assumptions.

Coaches get paid for their contract when they get fired. When you choose to walk away the employer is not obligated to pay you.

He's more of a man then any of you welfare rats are.
Nobody here is questioning Richt's manhood. Richt did the right thing and retired. He knew the game had passed him by and he retired. He did what a real man would do. So I repeat....Coach Richt is good here. We all know what kind of man he is. You on the other hand..........

Mork believed football was his ministry. His purpose. Dabo knows the difference between his job and his faith. Mork did not.

Keep your stupid points. You'll need them. You don't want this smoke.

If football is your purpose than winning is the best testimony. Once again Mark couldn’t get to the next level because he had an old offensive mind not because he felt any conviction about Miami winning again. That’s just dumb
