Revamping the site

Every article should not have a comment section unless it is unique. There needs to be a way for when people are writing and article to have all comments be linked to a separate thread that is already active. That's the main reason the daily "news" articles are annoying as **** to everyone.

If those articles could be sorted out of the forum by filter and all the discussion could be linked to like a specific players already active discussion this would be far superior. Like sure there are times you'd just let the discussion take place under that article, but like recruiting news articles? We don't need new discussions outside of the main players recruiting thread...
 
Maybe an ability for us to tag the posts with the topics and then we can search that way? The current search method is kinda difficult to navigate.

This should already be happening... it happens for me at least. If I visit a thread and them come back to it....


- If the thread had multiple pages and I did not finish it, it will take me to the next page after the one I was on

or

- If I finished reading the thread at the time, it will take me to the first new post since I visited the thread.
 
If the kid writers are even real.. frankly they all seem to be AI creations..but if they are this is 2026..shift them all out of the site to short form vid content creation to be streamed via an app of your choosing if your goal is to attract younger viewers/readers.

This will likely not go over well, but kill the ability to post nudity or ****. I don't come here for that, and it honestly cheapens the site.

@DMoney before you do ANY site changes, I think you need to ask a different question first: What is CIS?

Is it simply a community for posting, debate, conversation, and inside jokes? Or is it rather a place for content and articles? There’s no wrong answer.

But the answer to that question greatly changes what changes need to be made to the site. If you want to do more content (video and/or articles), then you’re competing with On3/Rivals and 247 and you need to lean more into other things that feel more like that, like having easier access to commitment lists etc; right now I go to other sites to see all that. Right now it feels a little 50/50; we have a board and suddenly this influx of amateur redundant articles that people clearly aren’t vibing, but it’s not a full Canes content site, so it feels incomplete.

I work in this space (hence the handle) and would love to have a more in-depth conversation on it.
