Revamping the site

Menu nav on desktop is a little weird. Trying to get to the Eye In The Sky or The Recruiting forums seems like it takes an extra steps to navigate. @DMoney

Dont take it personal @DMoney because its a “me” issue, but i just can’t stay engaged on any of the podcast/video segments, can we add a bullet point style recap of all your pods and video reports.

Edit: just saw your “thoughts from day 1” thread. Thats pretty much what i was looking for.

This ^^^

I prefer reading over vids, it's not intrusive to others at work or laying next to wifey at night

Increase the ability of the site to accept longer duration gifs...I've had some perfect ones for threads and convos that wouldn't load due to "file being too big"

I love ya D$ and I love this site, but the writers here are…… not good.

Spelling mistakes in every post, and it seems like they have a quota of posts they have to meet per week or something so most of the articles posted are complete nothing burgers and feel like they are only posted to meet said quota.

I understand they’re all pretty young and it’s cool to let the young kids get a head start on their journalism careers. I’m not trying to be a hater, just constructive criticism.

D$, and the majority of the board, do not want your tranny GIFs bogging down the site

Yes, this is definitely happening.

Don’t listen to the OCD freaks. Post a new thread when big new news actually breaks. Don’t want to dig through old threads for big updated news. Forums that do that blow.

Other than that for recruiting, especially early on in the cycle when there’s a ton of names I’d just make sure each name is linked out to 247 or On3 to get a quick look at each recruit.

I think the way you've got it set up with practice coverage is great, love both the video format and notes write-up.

Only real ask would be I thought last year the reviewing the classes series was great, it's more irrelevant now with the season starting but some more content like that through the offseason would be appreciated. And during the season maybe some Xs and Os breakdowns from Lance about what our opponents do every week would be interesting

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

The only thing I could think of is maybe some sort of Intro/FAQs section for newbies. I’ve been on here for a few years, but others have been here for 10+. There are a lot of unspoken/unwritten “rules” and inside jokes that aren’t known until broken.

I’m usually self aware enough to know when I’ve stepped in dog **** but sometimes I’m not and was almost politely corrected when I once pointed out that it’s actually spelled “I-R-V-I-N”. Then again, I probably have been the butt of several jokes as a result. F it. Leave it as is.

I’ve always thought having a serious tag option for some threads (or thread starters) to eliminate ****posting, low effort porsts would be nice in some situations.

I don’t come here for articles or recaps from TrintonBots (no offense to him or others), i just don’t see much value as the user but get it’s probably targeted for SEO or aggregation. I’m closer to boomer than zoomer so not sure what features are needed at this point. I come mostly for the like minded community here and dare I say the “insights” that I can’t get from an UM press release.

Tangentially to something someone said earlier, the ability to ignore threads would be a nice feature.
