I like the place too. I remember it when I was in high school and I think it was located more north closer to the airport. Last time I was in miami I decided to go and it was no longer by the airport but way south. I say that as I’m from the Beach - but I went and really liked it. I think I saw that they have two of them down south.

Oh ****, the one I went to was by the airport. Maybe it was longer than i thought since I went there.

I don’t know - maybe they still have one by the airport and I took a trip further than I needed to. @TRick72 does Islas Canarias still have a place by the airport? It was located like on 27th or something like that when I was in high school.

Edit: confirmation the original was located at 285 NW 27th Avenue (now El Caribe Restaurant).

They only have the locations out west by 137th avenue on coral way and one on bird. Plus they have Finka on 147th and Coral Way. Those are way out of the way of HRS
 
Awash - Ethiopian restaurant really good and close to stadium

Donnas Caribbean restaurant right across street is good & nice. where footballville use to do their interviews

Drive a little

Miramar off of red rd. world of beer , Juana’s, Flanigan’s, Tiagos Tacos, La Familglia Italian .

And If you wanna drive further you have pines .. pines Blvd a lot of options ,you also can head East to Aventura near mall bunch of options & a some more upscale.
