the majority of us thought D'Onfrio would get fired. It's been 2 days since our game and nothing has happened. Meanwhile, other schools are making moves right and left the day after their last game. It's a process fellas, it's a process.

The difference is those schools don't have post season play...Miami does.

Dorito isn't getting fired. Sure makes a lot of sense to keep a coach for an entire month who you plan on replacing.

Did we not fire Shannon even though we were bowl eligible and coached with an interim coach?

What does being bowl-eligible have to do with anything? Make the move now!

I don't think he gets fired. Didn't Golden come out and say something to the effect that "they can get themselves another head coach" if pressure is on from the administration to let D' go? Doesn't sound like a guy who's getting ready to fire someone. Maybe D' leaves if he is offered a head coaching gig somewhere (Nod, wink). But I doubt he gets canned. Sounds like Golden is riding with him. I say that fully expecting the team we play in a bowl to continue the trend of getting 500+ yards and putting up 30+ points.

It is way more important to fire the HC sooner so the new guy can get established. We arent going to run the new DC's system until the new year anyway. No point in firing him now. We have (sigh) momentum right now and if we win a bowl game recruiting should be even better. Firing him now is dumb. Fire him on the bus after the bowl game
 
The firing of shannon was way out of no where, yea people wanted his head but it was kinda unexpected plus we have a different AD

Coker was fired, but he still coached the bowl game. So just because Digiorno is coaching the bowl game does not mean necessarily he will be back next year.

There are currently around 70 teams expected to play in a bowl game. I understand your point regarding UF, Wyoming, etc. But using the "we get to play in the postseason excuse" is asinine. The most mediocre of teams play in postseason games.

When those great recruiting classes are Juniors and Seniors and we are still losing to Duke then it is time to panic (with Al).

BTW I want Dorito fired in the locker after the bowl game. I in no way shape or form want him anywhere near Coral Cables next year
