I don't think he gets fired. Didn't Golden come out and say something to the effect that "they can get themselves another head coach" if pressure is on from the administration to let D' go? Doesn't sound like a guy who's getting ready to fire someone. Maybe D' leaves if he is offered a head coaching gig somewhere (Nod, wink). But I doubt he gets canned. Sounds like Golden is riding with him. I say that fully expecting the team we play in a bowl to continue the trend of getting 500+ yards and putting up 30+ points.
That was some bull**** internet rumor started by one of these soft *** fans. Everyone needs to chill out and wait. Dorito will be gone after the bowl game, if not then people can start getting ansy. (I will be one of them) But until then just enjoy being 9-3 on the way to a decent bowl game our first one in a few years. This season has been right about where it was expected to go at the start. 8-4 to 10-2 was the predictions on this board and most "experts" I use that term loosely had us around 6-6 to 9-3. Everyone knew coming into this season it was going to be rough defensively seeing how Golden brought in 2 guys from other schools. One a JAG at Virginia and another with a 60 year olds ankle. On top of that they had lost what would have been a starting CB, LB and a 2 deep LB. Everyone saw the 7-0 start and got it into their minds that Miami could go 14-0 and win the MNC. When that didnt happen they over reacted. Was I happy with the defensive preformance of the last 5 games **** no. But it is not just a defensive issue. (Its a big part depth, talent and scheme.) If the offense could sustain drives all season I dont think you would have seen the results defensively over the last 5 games. Those boys are tired especially the boys on the DL most of those guys played 60-80 snaps a game all year.
