Serious question for anyone who played ball. If you get a full ride to Harvard to you take over other power 5 offers? How do you weigh the two?

First question is what are the P5 offers?

Because if schools like Michigan, Stanford, Cal, Miami, Duke, Northwestern, Virginia are involved then it would be hard to go with Harvard

I have no idea why you put Miami in that group.

Additionally, it all comes down to your NFL probability. If those are your best football offers, while you could make it to the pros, you're not an elite prospect. Still go with Harvard unless one of those schools is amazing at whatever you want to major in.

It's kind of like that kid who picked Purdue the other year. He wanted engineering and went there since its a great school for that field. Also, his father taught there before he passed, mother still is, etc. He could have gone to an Ivy, most football powers, but it's all about what you want to do. He may end up in the League.

You should investigate that a bit further. There's five or six ahead of us whether you use Forbes or USA Today in conference alone. That's leaving the Diners out. The schools you listed a well above us, not even the same tier.

As to the next post, your list had more public than private, so I'm not sure that was to your point.

Top tier talent that can go anywhere, you go to the power football team. If you're some 3 star, NFL projection seems a reach, you obviously go with Harvard.
Agree but Harvard doesn’t have many 3 stars. More like not Ranked or 1-2 stars. 3 stars are getting P5 offers.

Unless you are a 4 or 5* or can't handle an Ivy academically you have to go to Harvard/Yale/Penn.

You can get a full ride to an Ivy League school but it’s a full academic scholarship. Nobody get an athletic scholarship to an Ivy League school. Clearly, you have to be an elite level student.

Go to Harvard. The NFL will find you anywhere if you're good enough. A Harvard degree likely sets you up for life.
