Remaking the OL

We need to start looking like the Jeff Stoutland days. Stoutland had the recruiting philosophy to recruit mainly OTs. If they couldn't make it work outside, they would bump them in to G or C. The byproduct is a unit with overall good body-types. I don't think we have had better lines since that time.

For all the talk about Mario..Stoutland evald ol better than him honestly.

But atleast we know what type of recruiting we will get on OL... i dont think we see alot of small guys here anymore.

So far, so good.

Lost out on Dave Iuili (6'5, 315), but added Anez Cooper (6'6, 360), Logan Sagapolu (6'2, 344) and Matthew McCoy (6'6, 292 and counting).
I have full confidence Mario knows exactly what he needs and more importantly will get it here. Future is bright.

I just thank God Mario is making this a priority after all these years.
You are correct, we finally have a coach that understands the issues and knows how to fix them.

1. A great DL makes the LB's and Secondary better immediately.
2. A great OL makes the QB, RB, TE, and WR's better immediately.

Mario remembers the great teams he played on and what it takes to win. At every level of football, the OL and DL make you a great team.
