Reilly Gibbons to Stanford

Lol

Wasn't coley's recruit or evaluation

I know. It was just funny. Without Coley we'd be so ****ed.

The pressure on Golden if he doesn't add anyone else (would you really be surprised at this point), is going to be unbelievable. Oh man.

Golden is growing weary of the pressure though he feels its unwarranted. **** that choke artist 2 years in a row we are limping to the finish line.

Because when a kid has been committed for 9 months+ I expect them to sign with us. Idc that gibbons said it has nothing to Miami. If you told Gibbons a good enough pitch, he would've said no to Stanford because it was too late and he would've signed with Miami.

Are his parents lawyers or something along those lines?
I don't think a "pitch" would have kept him committed to UM.
Basically, he is going to a better school, academically, and right now their football program is superior to ours.
No brainer.
I do agree it's still a byitch move to do this late in the recruiting cycle, especially if our coaches didn't
know they took the visit to Stanford.

So the parents were going force him to Stanford? In that case why didn't he go to Duke which was one of his finalists?

Stanford has a better team than us and Duke. That obviously had to play in to his decision

But if the move was solely on education he would've taken duke for the jump. Regardless I'm just ****ed off at our recruiting down the stretch and how people justify every **** loss

Duke is an excellent school.
Stanford is ranked even higher.
It is not only one of the top schools in the country, it is ranked amongst the best in the world.
That's on the academic side.
On the football side, Stanford is better.
And they play in a better conference.
Just a better program than Duke and ours (at this time), unfortunately.
It's not as if he flipped to one of the SEC schools for a JUCO education.
I'm not justifying anything at all.
It is what it is, and I'm equally disappointed in our recruiting.

Somebody post that on Facebook somewhere, so that they can read their crap they posted on this site. Disgraceful. Better to not say anything sometimes. No need to put on like you're The Rock of Gibraltar, only to flip a few days before signing day.

Gutless.

Only a complete fool makes excuses for the recruiting cycle you are in by pointing to the next years recruiting cycle.

The dumbest, worst excuse going. Embarrassing really.

And thats an indictment of this kid and his character. If Stanford was in the picture, he should have told the staff from the beginning. All this "Im going to stand by my word" bullsH8t and then pull this the weekend before NSD. I can understand not being able to pass up a Stanford degree, but I doubt Stanford just called this kid out of the blue this morning.

I'm sorry but I'm ****ed. What a **** move. I understand the whole education thing. Let's be real. Stanford's a top notch school education wise but to pull this 3-4 days to NSD is a complete **** move. Yeah, my ****** jimmies are ****** rustled and reading his ol man's post on the bump up from his commitment thread made it worse. At least we got Wyche back. ****** ****!

Where is CAPS to tell me how thankful we should all be that Golden didn't bolt to PSU?

Yeah, because our class was so spectacular when we fired Shannon right? Look how awesome Vandy's class is looking right now with their HC gone.

Did you not remember the comments from the kids post that mess? A number pretty much said they would have decommitted or thought about decommitting.

The recruits don't matter if Golden can't get his **** together, and what makes you think he can at this point?
