These guys are young millionaires hanging out in Miami during the off-season. They're not exactly at the height of training mode. They're partying and relaxing and occasionally meeting up back at school to get some work in and make sure they don't report to camp completely out of shape.

UM more than any school has that bond among alumni. They just like to meet up, get back on campus, and relive the old days with their bros. These kids would come back and work out at UM if DannyBoy was the S&C coach. Ya'll act like hordes of NFL players are flying in for the expertise of Swasey.

The vision of Paranosboycane running things in the weight room gave me quite the chuckle.
 
Swasey really has some of the dumbest among us really fooled. They are terrified that if we lose him, Miami might not have the pleasure of being the place where DJ Williams works on his glutes in February.

How will we EVER win without DJ Williams hamstring workout!!

😂😂😂😂 thank you! It's not like other programs came to try and hire him away from us. But yet people are convinced he's the best. If you have to use your connections with NFL players to put in a good word for you to keep your job ...it means you suck and you know you suck.

The dude really must have half of his friends and family on here too. It really is amazing at the veracity that some porsters here will defend a freakin' S&C corch. I'm just waiting for Josh Darrow to unleash his posse. So weird.
 
He's gone, I've said it before and not if, but when. The guy is known as one of the worst in the business.

To those who say so and so comes back in the summer, those numbers are at an all-time low. There's two other places most of the NFL crowd are working out at because they know what they're doing.

As one pointed out, put him in some town wherever away from the beach and nightlife, he won't have anyone coming back.

EVEN IF guys stop coming back to work out, who gives a ****? What has that gotten us in the past 12 years? It hasn't translated to wins or financial support for the department. It's just a feather in Swasey's cap.

It's time to move on.
 
The problem that he has created for UM/CMR is that he also oversees S&C for all of UM's sports teams. So if CMR fires him that would leave S&C in limbo for all of our other teams. If you simply remove him from the Football program and allow him to stay on for the rest of the Sports teams does he undermine the new hire or become a distraction?

If it was simply a " football decision" he would have been fired by Golden when he took over. Unfortunately CMR will have to convince everyone that his replacement will be good for not only the Football program but also the entire athletic departement if he wants to fire Swasey.

That's what interim positions are for.

Swasey is not unfireable.

Thats not the issue. Swasey has a lot of support from all of our other team's coaches and support staff. They don't want him gone. He does a great job for our Tennis program.
 
if the former players really want us to start winning, they shouldn't say **** when Swasey gets canned.

Either Richt has authority to fire or "reassign" Swasey or he doesn't. If he does, this isn't an issue.

Then make him "Non-Football Strength & Conditioning Coordinator".....at a substantial decrease in salary, of course. Glad tennis and women's crew is a factor here.

I agree with you. Unfortunately this is one area where some restraints have been put on CMR just like they have with our last 3 coaches.
 
We are a couple of days away from 2016 and this debate still occurs.....unreal.

I highly doubt Blake is drawing a hard line at keeping Swasey.
