I just saw Florida is ranked #6 while we are #8. No knock on Florida because they have a good class but personally I wouldn't even think of trading our class for theirs and I doubt I would find very many fan bases in the nation that would take the Gators over ours either so is there something I'm missing?

The gaytors actually appear to have a strong DLine class committed. Maybe good at LB as well. Where they’re shîtting the bed is on the OL and at RB. I’m not certain how they’re looking at DB.

That's my point, they have a pretty good class but nothing spectacular, if you look at the all around class and star power Miami has it's not even close in my book

I agree with @flcanesfan and you. I’d take our class over theirs. I like what we’re doing. And, sure I wish we didn’t strike out with Lawrence and could keep Robinson and Donnell Harris but we got some good players. In the recent past, we struck out on Plan A’s while ignoring Plan B’s and had to grab whatever we could. We’ve locked up a lot of Plan B kids. There’s no insult to that. Chaney is a Plan A. Bama, UGA and Clemson are pulling Plan A’s. We’re coming in strong after that.

I can also see Alvin Mathis, Corey Flagg, and Restrepo get a bump, most likely to a high 3 star. Players like Antonio Smith, has not camp that much so we can see what happens to his ranking over the postseason. That being said, a few of ours players have drop in the rankings, I think Keshawn, Mamarelli, and Riggins have all been hurt.

How’s Piantini, Gascue y La Zona Colonial today? What’s up with all of the gringo deaths and crime lately? I’ll be in Santiago at the end of August for a few days and then on the north coast for a week more. I’m usually with Dominicanos and I don’t do resorts so I’m not really too concerned.

Bro all is well, everybody thinks it’s a conspiracy and that America want to boost tourism in Puerto Rico lol. **** is the same as usual man. You will be all right it’s all the media hyping **** up man.

Yeah that’s what I figured. I’m not walking through Capatillo in SD or Cienfuegos in Santiago either.

its not where is should be. it will be interesting if the on field product is significantly better do they drop some of these kids for higher rated kids.

Here's where we stand versus UF on 6/26 IMO:
  • QB: Miami - TVD is the truth! Richardson is a good athlete, not a good QB
  • RB: Miami - Mr 5 star Don Chaney > anyone they will land
  • TE: Miami - TEU stays strong... gimme Mammarelli over Odom all day
  • WR: UF - this could change but as of now, I'll give them an edge
  • OL: Miami - Jalen Rivers sets us apart from them
  • DT: UF - Dexter is the truth so I'll give them a slight edge but I really like our group
  • DE: Tie - both teams have a solid core with no real elite guys
  • LB: Miami - Wingo is a freak and better than anyone we have but I love our depth
  • CB: Miami - Francois is the best defensive player in south florida this year
  • S: UF - they have a couple dudes who look more like pure safeties to me compared to the dudes we got in Washington, Branch, Hodges.
This was a quick and dirty test but I really think we have the edge on them in 6 spots while they have the edge in 3 spots.
 
I hate to be the first one to say this - and I’m quite surprised some trope (troll/mope... it’ll catch on) didn’t beat me to it - but isn’t this some ish we would all laugh at if it were in gaytor tears?

Either we are the fan base that trusts our coaches evals over the sites, or we are the fan base that jock-rides rivals writers, begging for a bump, just so we can win the crootin trophy 247 gives out every year. Can’t be both.
