Recruiting Rankings

Was thinking the same thing reading through this. Keep our commits ranked low and just win baby! Gonna be a nice ride back to da top!

I know RVA feels me!

GO CANES!
Josh

I hate to be the first one to say this - and I’m quite surprised some trope (troll/mope... it’ll catch on) didn’t beat me to it - but isn’t this some ish we would all laugh at if it were in gaytor tears?

Either we are the fan base that trusts our coaches evals over the sites, or we are the fan base that jock-rides rivals writers, begging for a bump, just so we can win the crootin trophy 247 gives out every year. Can’t be both.

How’s Piantini, Gascue y La Zona Colonial today? What’s up with all of the gringo deaths and crime lately? I’ll be in Santiago at the end of August for a few days and then on the north coast for a week more. I’m usually with Dominicanos and I don’t do resorts so I’m not really too concerned.

Stay away from the mini bar!

And that chick with the handcuffs on her belt.

Clemson did not have the highest rated recruits in CFB when it’s natty two years ago. Really recruits matter for a baseline skill level, but coaching has a far bigger impact once you are already at a pretty high level. Look at FSU they probably have classes ranked above some teams that made new year 6 bowls. **** look at us, we should have won coastal every year based on our recruits but the coaching was the difference

They actually had a lot of top guys, their classes just didn't look as good as a whole bc they would take like 17 guys most cycles.

****. Well I guess we need to figure out a bag game, or hope the NCAA does to these other programs what they did to us

What I don't understand is how do they ever get close to the 85 man roster taking only 17-18 a year? Are the cloning people?

Just doing the math 17 x 5 = 85, it's as if they redshirt everyone and no one leaves early for the draft. How is that even possible these days?

Here's where we stand versus UF on 6/26 IMO:
  • QB: Miami - TVD is the truth! Richardson is a good athlete, not a good QB
  • RB: Miami - Mr 5 star Don Chaney > anyone they will land
  • TE: Miami - TEU stays strong... gimme Mammarelli over Odom all day
  • WR: UF - this could change but as of now, I'll give them an edge
  • OL: Miami - Jalen Rivers sets us apart from them
  • DT: UF - Dexter is the truth so I'll give them a slight edge but I really like our group
  • DE: Tie - both teams have a solid core with no real elite guys
  • LB: Miami - Wingo is a freak and better than anyone we have but I love our depth
  • CB: Miami - Francois is the best defensive player in south florida this year
  • S: UF - they have a couple dudes who look more like pure safeties to me compared to the dudes we got in Washington, Branch, Hodges.
This was a quick and dirty test but I really think we have the edge on them in 6 spots while they have the edge in 3 spots.

This is pretty much how i see it too

Francois is and Washington are S, Hodges is a corner, and Branch is our Striker. In my opinion they should put Branch to S and Washington to striker.

The reason why you can’t understand that is because it’s not true. First time they took fewer than 20 was 2017 - after they’d already won a chip.

PS - they took 29 last year. 15 3 stars.

This is one of those years that's old school UM recruiting ala JJ and Butch. The staff has done real evals and knows who's talented and who's hype. They are taking kids that want to be Canes who are talented regardless of what anyone else says. This class is MUCH more talented than UF at every position other than DT. If you don't want to take my word for it, look at the offers our commits have vs theirs. The only thing UF has is more clicks and subscriptions on the recruiting boards so they rank their guys higher. This isn't anything new. It's been that way with FSU since the 90's.
