Recruiting in the Deep South

@DMoney in the March 28, 2025 Bank breakdown on Alabama visitors this weekend.

Miami also has DE Kamhariyan Johnson (Muscle Shoals, AL) on campus this weekend. He was previously scheduled to go to Auburn. The Canes are shooting their shot in Alabama, with Johnson, DE Jaquez Wilkes (Wadley, AL) and DE Tank Jones (Mobile, AL) all in the mix. ​

Miami is hosting its biggest recruiting weekend of the year, as detailed by @Sebastian Font here. Below is the latest I'm hearing about the class:

- This a huge weekend for offensive linemen, with Keenyi Pepe (IMG), Breck Kolojay (IMG), Chancellor Campbell (St. Petersburg), Canon Pickett (Tampa), Joel Ervin (Fort Myers), Tommy Tofi (San Francisco), Da'ron Parks (Sarasota) and others. What do you think Keshawn Stancil is..? really.

Logan Nagle is 6'5 280 and plays some DE.

Flipped a PSU dl an psu evals on the dl are pretty good


We took an edge from LSU that had close to 40 sacks in the last 2 years and that is so athletic plays rb.

Like i stated their evals dont coincide with rivals they recruited stancil like a 5 star and Bain wasnt a 5 star in case u wanted to continue star watching.

Wer are gonna get a guy or 2 out of the portal but i like the dl recruiting in this class.

And if we’re going off stars…baby Jesus wasn’t a 5 star and name 1 program in college who wouldn’t take him on their team and start him right now.

yea guys gotta stop star gazing and look at scheme fits an how we recruit guys.
We were all in on stancil and lafayette from the jump. Im not even a big lafayette guy but they prioritized him early and stuck with it..hes a scheme fit for what they want to do ..it may be a 5 star out there that wont fit in to what heatherman wants his dl to do and thats ok.
