Recruiting Effect of Firing

golden was the reason he committed so early not the only reason he committed, the kid is family oriented and doesnt want to leave his family

Kids say that in interviews all the time.

I know the coaches and alumni at Killian. Stephen Tulloch is a very close family friend of mine. My father use to buy him food all the time at practice n **** when he played pop warner at Kendall Hammocks. My brother attended Killian while he was there before my bro transferred and played ball at Coral Reef. My other brother played on same team with Stephen in pop warner. Kendall Hammocks Warriors. Still see Stephen all the time at Chads barbershop across from Miami Dade during the offseason.

One of my good friends Danny Orozco who played for Killian back in esrly 2000s also did some coaching few years ago when Jaquan and Redwine first got to Killian. I head out to the Killian games with him. I've met Jaquan personally it's no hidden thing. He loves Miami.

We would really have to **** up to lose his commitment. Trust me.

nah, we'll pay some 6 figure firm to advise us to hire a coach already on staff.

First thing, most of these kids never really get division, so statistics is at best a word they might have heard. Second, they have a 3 year window outlook and really are not concerned with the second semester of the third year, so 2.5 is a more likely number for those who might be capable of the calculation.
 
We'll lose some and gain some, but recruiting is the least of our worries. Coaching on the other hand is bad and getting the #1 class wont change that so the change has to be made regardless of what hit we take on recruiting.

Golden can have 5 star players starting at every position and he would still lose at least 3 games a year. The man does not maximize talent he retards it.

100% agree! Al Golden doesnt belong here he is fixated on NY/NJ, hence 18 scholarships wasted every year!!

It's inexcusable that at Miam if u don't have top 10 classes year after year period

That being said schools who get only 3 star recruits are beating folden smh
 
What many fail to realize on here is if you Fire Al Golden you also fire James Coley, who got us Brad Kaaya and Joe Yearby, you fire Ice Harris who currently has us Mark Walton, you fire George Baez who got us most of the WR's in 2016 class and you likely fire Kevin Beard who got us Scarlett and Bruce. Unless the new coach chooses to keep the majority of the coaching staff that would be a huge freaking loss when it comes to recruiting.
 
It doesn't even matter if we fire him. These kids aren't gonna want to play for this loser regardless. Winning is huge for recruiting. If you were an unbiased canes fan, would you rather play for some mediocre team in Coral Gables or the team that's won 28 games in a row up the street. These kids come here and become JAGS.

Im not going to debate against you as all of the things you stated are true, but would we be having this conversation if they were doing an at least decent job in year 4? I dont want to lose alot kf the guys youve listed but good lord something has to stop the bleeding. What would you suggest we do? One more year of this regime? What would change if no members of the staff do? I hope the players you speak still come to the U either way but really take a look at these kids and tell me they will have the ability to take goldens failures and turn them into success. He has the leading rusher in school history, the next good or great young qb in kaaya, a speed demon in dorsett, walford is coming out as the traditional miami te legacy. But what did he do with them as far as in the acc, coastal, rankings, bowl games, against above .500 teams he **** the bed everytime. I hate to sound like this but im actually wanting a reply as to keep golden and do what? How will we be better?

I see it like this.....JC is only in year 2 and has shown significant improvement with the offense from last year. Do you agree? I think this is a double edged sword and we as fans must be careful what we wish. Remember the domino effect of Randy Shannon firing? We lost recruits like Teddy bridgewater, Eli Rodgers, and many other recruits....even though IMO Golden has done a better job at recruiting than Shannon. It's a tough call but here are the moves that would save AG's career....#1 the most obvious fire D'onfrio and the entire staff on the defensive side of the ball except Hurlie and 2. Relieve himself of special team responsibilities and hire a **** ST coach

Coley has improved with room for more. If he fires everyone other than hurlie and gets an actual defebsive staff I guess it the less horrible outcome i guess.

Experience: Nine seasons at LSU, FIU, Florida State and Miami
Why he might work: Coley was a prominent candidate for Stoops' first Kentucky staff before deciding to stay at Florida State. Since then, Coley left Tallahassee for Miami, where his offense ranks 47th nationally in passing offense and 48th in total offense this season. Coley is considered one of the best recruiters in the country with four 2015 four-star commitments currently credited to him in the 247Sports database.
Why he might not work: Coley and Stoops did not make the Kentucky connection work two years ago, so there's a significant question as to whether he would make the move now. Coley is a Miami native who coached for two Miami High Schools, FIU and the Miami Dolphins before joining Miami University, so he may be less than eager to leave South Florida for the Bluegrass State. His offense would also be an adjustment for current Kentucky players.
