There's no arguing with this guy
He knows it all ... He is too blind to see facts on paper
Period
You're right man, it's 100% on the coaches. We have no other problems. Just coaching and skeemz. If you fired Al Golden tomorrow and replaced him with any HC with a pulse, we would win the MNC next year guaranteed.
We would've won at least 10 more games last year if we would've stopped "playing patty cake" and played more press man coverage. And MOAR nickel looks.
What was I thinking, that there might be a lot of things wrong with this program beyond the coach..... psshhh lol fuggdat it's 100 PERCENT COACHING. FLY A BANNER.
Lol. Idiots.
"Coaching" in the college game encompasses a lot more than scheme design, play calling, and teaching technique. The head coach draws the contours of the whole program. If there's something "beyond the coach," you're talking about deep infrastructure stuff -- we don't have an on-campus stadium (and lost the Orange Bowl), or we don't have a proper practice facility, or other stuff where the coach simply isn't allowed to act on his own.
But "the players all quit" is very much something that's part of the coach's job. If you can only get your players to execute when things are going well, you're not good at that job. You don't get to play bad teams every week, but every time Al's team comes up against a decent team, there's been a moment where the team checks out. And after that moment passed in the FSU game, the team never turned back on. The coach must be able to address that, or you might as well just let the players (not) coach themselves.
If you can point to something over the last ten years that has made the teams bad that's actually "beyond the coaching," do so. But it looks to me like Miami has hired three bad coaches in a row, and just needs to stop doing that.
