For all the complaining about Lashlee running the offense too fast, he never had an issue draining the last seconds in a close game. He'd make D'Eriq King run backwards 30 yards if it meant they'd bleed the last 10 seconds off the clock.

We were at the line in some instances on the final drive with 25 seconds left on the game clock. Which led to us quietly sitting there for 15 seconds and TVD then impatiently snapping the ball with 10 seconds left after what must've felt like an eternity for him.

It was a shyyt show from the beginning.

this sounds like an ego issue. It seems like privately Mario can't accept that he made an error despite his public statements.

I'm OK with breaking the huddle early and getting a look at the defense but you can stand everyone up and do a "check with me" before settling everyone back into their stances.

tbh, id rather 12 false starts than what we actually did do. we would have won in that instance.

There's that too. Although at that point I doubt we're audibling to anything different. We're just running it up the gut like we'd done all game long at that point. Such a shame. About one hundred ways to finish that game off correctly and we found the one way to muck it up.

I mean look at the picture of Chaney being down and tell me if he had two hands on the ball?

He was clearly down. He was also told to have two hands on the ball, and didn’t. I don’t see why they shouldn’t drill it into them what 2 hands on the ball means.

I've been rewatching the game today. At the end of the 3rd quarter ACCN reporter got a quick minute with Mario. One of the few things he said to her was that "we have to have ball security"......

That's an odd reply though. Because even if "it's a comfortability/timing thing and it's by design," that doesn't mean it isn't tipping them off.

I'd like to see if this was the case in any other games. Its definitely something they need to look at.

I mean it doesn’t surprise me one bit with how poorly prepared we were that we left glaring details go unnoticed. I’m sure the same can be said if the passing game concepts with enough film to review

Sounds like UNC by 100. Because the players will not respond to that.

That was easily Parrish’s worst and least effective game as a Cane. 2-3 yards and a cloud of dust every touch against a bad run D.
 
Reminds me of the Cane Mutiny book where Melvin Bratton noticed Danyell Ferguson would open his foot to the hole the run was designed for.

Somehow this is worse than the actual decision to run it.

If u wanted the team to have your back u simply tell them its my job to put u in the best position and that was taking a knee to win and I didn’t. All this other **** just showing how prideful he is, he doesn’t see his game day coaching mistakes
