But if CWH has gone to 200 & Lyle to 205, they've both moved out of being "small" RB's to a nice size for a college RB. Hopefully they carry it well.

I hope Fletcher is the guy but i believe this is Lyle’s coming out party.
 
I’m bullish on both running backs. I really liked the jump I saw from Fletcher last year. He keeps his head up and his eyes open instead of immediately lowering his head and just plowing forward like he did as a freshman. Playing with Damien Martinez really helped him. Lyle obviously impressed with the breakaway speed but he looked comfortable running between the tackles last year. Very advanced for a freshman

Yeah the 1/2 punch should be very very strong. If CWH can get that speed in space also should be great
 
Ashton Jeanty 2023 season:

220 carries/1347/6.1/14 TDs

Fletcher career:

217 carries/1,121 yards/5.2/14 TDs

Just a small example of the limited carries Fletcher has had in his career.

Got hurt his freshman season, and last year split carries alot.

Think he can average 5.7/5.8 per carry this season take on 170 carries. That will put him close to 1,000.

Shame Allen dipped out. I’d feel better about the room if he was still here. Feels like we gotta hit the portal for someone similar

Different era of football for sure and 2 different styles of offense but they compare pretty favorably.

Fletcher - 6’2” 225
Brown - 6’3” 220

Sophomore Stats
Fletcher - 112 carries, 607 yards, 5.4 YPC, 9 TD
Brown - 190 carries, 946 yards, 5.0 YPC, 16 TD (6 in 1 game 👀)

Junior Stats
Brown - 303 carries, 1841 yards, 6.1 YPC, 19 TD

With the same usage (and healthy) we’re at around a 1,026 yard, 15 touchdown season for Fletcher last season. With a comparable jump to his junior season: adding a yard per carry, around 35% of the carries (little less than Martinez last season) does 1100 yards on ~ 160 carries and 13/14 touchdowns seem lofty for next season?

1,100 on 160 would be a 6.9 ypc. I don't think he gets above 6. I'm hoping he can get a little above of 5.5.

@gacaneaddict gave a realistic hope for Fletcher this year.

I get the excitement for Lyle. Hard not to be with those 2 long runs.

But this reminds me of Spring 2019.

Cam Harris had 2 big games at the end of his Freshman year and was "the next Duke Johnson". DeeJay Dallas has fumble issues the back half of the year and people were down on him.

Once the season started, it pretty quickly it became obvious Dallas was the better RB (even though Dallas also outplayed him in the Spring, which no one really acknowledged).

IMO it'll be similar - people will pretty quickly see Fletcher is a notch above Lyle once the season starts.
