Raymond/Banda - Trippin or on to something

Raymond's a recruiter man u really don't have to coach an Adams or the Reeds of the world. Those guys are born savages. Just like Saban was trash in the NFL cause he can't recruit like college. Those guys are suppose to be legendary coaches but all they do is recruit the best players.
Exactly!! Raymond, with the help of locale can recruit and stack that DB position better than just about anybody in the nation. Talking about the elite of elite DB prospects year after year that could go to any school and end up being a top 3 RD draft pick. But at the same time he’s had just as many if not more bluechipps who don’t develop at all in college.

As far as Banda every starting safety he’s had has ended up, IMO maxing out. Jenkins and carter he had for 1 season and that was those guys best seasons. Quan turned into a AC/AA caliber producer at safety. Redwine switched from CB to S and u saw his development take off from his JR to SR year. Robert Knowels went from barely a Miami rotational player to out most consistent safety his last year. Bubba Bolden was able to flash his talent in a short amount of time..Hall will take off these next two years. Carter still has 1year to match his physical potential with production.

point is Raymond can recruit his *** off and get studs that would go anywhere and ball .Banda doesn’t pull ththe same cal of player annually yet but is a good recruiter abd has a track record while here of maxing out his position groups development

All I know, when it comes to production in college.... Jaquan and Redwine are the only guys who have done the same or better than Some of the Safeties At LSU in the past year. Hall, Carter, Smith, Williams, Bolden, Balom, Harrell, Washington.....are nowhere near as productive as some of the current and most recent LSU Safeties. Hopefully Smith, Hall, Carter, and Bolden can take that next step.

Yeah....are we really comparing Banda who only coaches safeties and the highest guy he got drafted is Redwine in the 4th round, to Raymond who's put out multiple 1st rounders and coaches the entire secondary at LSU?

Please tell me we're not doing this. I like that Banda pulled off the shocker by snagging Avantae on Wednesday, but he has miles to go in terms of catching Raymond.
We have the most delusional fan base in America... Bar none.

LOL...

I'm telling you man, whoever put this new batch of Yayo out on the street needs to be stopped...

This shìt is ridiculous.
Why you comin’ out of pocket? Nowhere in here or in that tweet is anyone saying Banda is on Raymond’s level.

The whole POINT is that we hate on Banda but even cats like Raymond fail on half there players.

Acting like we think Banda is a world beater nobody is saying or thinking that. Cmon now.

Love y’all but sometimes you just jump to conclusions. Only people thinking it’s a Ray Banda comp is the people bashin’ Banda. Be better.

It's a retarded point.

Raymond is the best CB's coach in all of college football, even trying to make a parallel between him or Banda is dumb AF because he's primarily a CB's coach, not Safeties & the only reason anyone is even making the argument is because they're reaching by reframing it to make it seem as though Raymond has had some misses in the NFL when that's not even a barometer that you judge a DB coach.

It's just dumb & entertaining it is even dumber. Trying to diminish how good a CB coach that Corey Raymond is by pointing out that some players didn't do well once they hit the league is what fans do when they need to reach in order to justify a stupid non sequitur point.

Raymond is just as much of a great technician as a coach as he is a recruiter, anyone who's played or ever coached DB's would attest to this.

In order to give Banda props & give him his credit it can be done is much smarter way than stretch Armstrong reaching & even mentioning Corey Raymond. Just say Banda has done a good job & is underrated, leave the Raymond talk out of it & you won't get the reaction you're getting from people who can see how ridiculous it is.

****, Banda got some good vibes on this site for like 1 day after a very strong recruiting cycle and y’all are already back to bashing him.

Here’s a newsflash for the haters. Unless he decides to leave for a promotion, Banda ain’t going nowhere for as long as Manny is our coach. And why would he? His position group has been 1 of the more consistent groups on the team during his tenure and he’s recruited a room **** near full of 4 stars.
Banda as another poster stated struggles with rotations, and as I have witnessed at games............stresses in close games. He is not a complete and all round Coach, but is having a good year this year.....the last 2-3 years, meh......not so much...

I lost respect for Banda after he did all that bragging about Knowles’ play against some ****** team. He got some back with Avantae but THE U has been known for playmaking safeties. Banda hasn’t produced any

Hall hasn't played up the standard he should be playing at. I don't know if that's scheme or Banda. But I'll take Banda over Rumph

I wouldn’t go as far as comparing him to Raymond.
But I don’t understand why everybody gives him credit for the kid he gets drafted why completely ignoring way more kids that never saw the league and were as highly rated as the ones he did put in the league.
It’s always an excuse for every other team but never for us. When another team gets a four or a five star and he doesn’t make the league or get drafted it’s always the players fault because he didn’t develop or didn’t have the right mindset or it was an injury or he wasn’t focused he couldn’t grasp the defense. When its us it’s always a coaches fault and it’s always poor evaluation or scheme or any other excuse.
look how good Bubba Bolden looked out there in the few games he played especially with all the time off he had from actually even having playing time. But then it’s the player not the coach right?! we always get held to a different standard than everybody else. Stingley at LSU basically had the job as soon as you got on campus and jumped off the screen from day one.

In terms of the bolded and comparing us to LSU as we're talking about Raymond. LSU has a better track record than us from the past 15 years.

Banda has had Colbert, Redwine and Jaquan drafted. The highest guy is Red at the 4th round. Let's stop with this supposed long track record of success. Let him coach the position for a decade and then you have a better sample size.
