1. Bama - But really, it’s because of Nick Saban, before Saban Bama was a midtier program living off the memory of Bear Bryant
2. Oklahoma - Before they make the move to the SEC; Big XII Oklahoma can legitimately make the playoffs every year, SEC Oklahoma will go down the same route as TAMU
3. Ohio State - Legit one of the best programs in college football, can’t think of another program that has hit on nearly every **** coach they’ve hired, they haven’t had a drop off in coaches since Wooody Hayes
4. Texas - When its done right can be the best job in college football, but much like Miami, hasn’t been done right in a long time
5. TAMU - Mainly due to money & proximity to high level recruits being in Texas
6. Clemson - Much like with Bama, Dabo is the main reason why this is a great program
7. LSU - Great recruiting & dedicated boosters with no instate rivals; expectations are unrealistic & too high though
8. UGA - Everyone drools over UGA nowadays because they have a bunch of 5-stars, but all they’re doing is copying Bama’s model for recruiting. It’s an attractive job due to money & recruiting, but I don’t think their success will be long term sustained, there will be no UGA dynasty
9. Ole Miss - They were one of few team who cracked the code of how to beat Bama back when Bama was at their peak, but it obviously all came crumbling down because Hugh Freeze broke the cardinal rule in the SEC
10. USC - I really hated SC during the Pete Carroll era, but it can’t be denied when its rolling they can be one of the best programs in the nation. When they’re good, they dominate West Coast recruiting, but when they suck, programs like Oregon, ASU & Utah reap the benefits.
Honorable Mention: Auburn, Notre Dame, Oregon, Baylor, Tennessee, San Diego St & SMU
