- Thank god we got Cam. The alternative is scary. Amazing what one player does. I hope we take the collective pool and overpay for a big time QB. Use 20%.
- this could be Mario Cristobal’s best team ever. Better than 2019 Oregon that won the Rose Bowl w/herbert.
- Cam Ward and the 1st team oline can keep us in any game
- a ton of the young players flashed big time
- we need to develop some of the younger receivers. X is great, JG and Horton are serviceable but we need some serious contested catch guys and some YAC guys.
- Sam Brown is incapable of winning a contested catch. Incapable.
- Armando Blount needs more time. Hands down the most impressive freshmen linemen today. Cole was a big disappointment after reading all the practice reports.
- shout out to Aaron Feld for creating a Ted Hendricks clone in Chase Smith. I’m sure he needs work but he looks the part.
- I’m not sure what is going on with Pancake. But I remember when he was being recruited DMoney was saying 1st overall pick type talent. Same thing we heard about Dylan Stewart. Dylan looks the part. But we’re 8 deep at oline which is nice.
- what’s going on with the Washington brothers?

Agreed on most of this, in particular Brown, Cole and Samson. I thought pancake and Kinsler underwhelmed.
 
Cole mcconathy may be better than expected but I dont See it today. light foot played a handful of plays but he looked way more explosive, same thing with Blount. Pickett had an impressive play where he peeled off and covered the wheel route to negate the qb even looking that way because it was open.


We really need to work on our run game on O, something is definitely off

how can you say the alternative is scary? the alternative was jacurri brown or emory williams with poff to put pressure on them. that's a scenario we haven't seen and won't bc thats not how things ended up.

who's to say emory wouldn't have 600 yards passing today? we'll never know bc we don't live in that time line were cam didn't come here.
 
Too many penalties after a fairly clean game last week

Mario’s talk about discipline has never actually materialized on the field yet

Last week I thought we were headed in the right direction

I’ll chalk it up to a bunch of people not used to playing but I didn’t like it
 
Run blocking is not as good as it needs to be. Our WRs played bad today. Like many have said, Brown is not as advertised. That's two games in a row he looks just average or below average. Our run defense especially up the middle wasn't that great. Our secondary looks thin.

Overall not very impressed by the day. We looked much better against Florida.

The team did not look like they were locked in and focused and I don't think they had a great week of prep. I think they were feeling themselves too much after the Florida win and showed up today without focus.

And too converse that, Cristobal lit a fire into them and they came out better in the second half. Still things to work on but a lot of teams struggling with bad teams and I’ll take it honestly. Famu has been acquiring more d1 transfers on their roster which is making them tougher

They need to learn how to lock in and get dialed in for every game, not take weeks off. All week long they were saying things like "every game is a championship game" but that's obviously not true. They need to make it true.

It's a long season and we should be favored to win every game. The only way we don't do that is if some team upsets us, and the only way that happens is if we come in one week not dialed in and not focused.

Our biggest opponent here on in is complacency and we need to figure it out before some team sneaks up on us.
 
Cole is a disappointment? he was pushing their lineman back. True Freshman arent disappointments but I'll tell you Richards and Ray Ray need to get it together. Sam Brown needs to be more consistent. we need to get the young WR's burn for next year when X and JG are gone.

Not a disappointment but he played a lot over other guys who were just as capable or in the game just looked better imo

While you’re correct about the ideal mindset, there’s never been a team that’s been dialed in every single week. The 2001/2 Canes and every great team since have had games where they didn’t show up. So to have stomped A&M while being less than perfect is understandable. And would have a 77-0 beating have really meant anything? I don’t think so. We’ve seen that followed by losses to the GT’s of the world.

I look for perfection in games like this, but the truth is that we dominated as we should. This game doesn’t tell us anything about how this team will respond when pushed later in the year. Enjoy the win and move on

I'm hoping we're able to get Jojo, Carr, Ray Ray reps at some point to get them up to speed to be counted on for next year. So far we only have Horton that would be ready to be counted on
