It's not about training a replacement. It's about hiring someone who knows what the **** they are doing regarding football.

This isn't difficult. You know how they hire a HC? Well they can also hire someone to help the HC...that's what Alonzo can be.

This. They can absolutely co-exist. Alonzo is very highly regarded and I’m sure Rad is all about surrounding himself with quality people. At that level, everyone is competent and you surround yourself with competent people.

Sometimes people completely ignore the fact that whatever you think about the president of any major university, that person is smart and talented. Maybe disinterested in sports, or in something else, but most definitely not stupid. Its too hard to get to the top of that hill for an idiot to have that job.
