Now that Miami has QB1 selected for G1, how best would the lizards game plan against him?

My thoughts:

- Film is non-existent; HS film even more so as useless
- Coaches will reach out to network for anyone's first hand thoughts on J Will's mental/personality tendancies
- Knowing we have a DIII-level (barely) OL, they will try to pressure and rattle him with aggressive upfront rush and blitz packages
- Watch his comfort (or lack thereof) placing the handoffs where they need to be for RBs
-Watch his command of shuttle/flip pass if Enos runs those plays
- CBs will demand he beat them with his arm until he proves he can
- Crowd will be louder than usual during Miami's O drives

Overall, if J Will can perform, advantage Miami because until the tape gets long enough, Ds won't have much to go on. I suspect a ton of Enos' first year Arky footage is being watched right now in GVille.

Your thoughts?

Expect man under all game with a lurk..Dan Enos is gonna have to scheme tf outta this matchup to get Jarren easy uncontested throws.. hopefully the run game is on point so UF can’t have a free player or two in the back half to lurk

It's certainly fair to question our o line but I think it's fair to assume Enos will scheme to consistently help our line block with an extra man. Grantham is blitz happy but jarren sees an aggressive defense in practice every day. If the **** corners play on islands with our receivers jarren can make the throws, his post and corner routes from practice vids were lasers. If the o line and special teams hold up we're gonna smoke these fools.

All I am going to say is that they do not have an answer for all of our TEs and WRs.

They can blitz all they want. That will leave one-on-one coverage with very fast players that can all take it to the house.

Until they can prove to me that they can stop us I will believe that we can win this game.

The bad eval on Tommy Kennedy really hurts. If we'd landed a decent OT in the transfer market, this team would be ready to compete for the playoffs. Unfortunately we will pin our hopes on a freshman and will try to help cover the deficiencies with the TEs. Sucks for the TEs because they won't be running downfield like they should be since they have to stay home and chip before running their routes. Gators are going to blitz nonstop so Williams better start working on that 3 step drop.

If UF blitzes as much as is being suggested, there's absolutely no easier and quicker way to get to the truth of this team and staff than that.

They got some scrimmage/practice footage.

If I were Florida I think my first move is to make him uncomfortable and nervous. Put your best two up on JT and your 3rd on Pope. Stack the front and get pressure on him. Try hard to get your hands on him and make him sweep out to the edge or even the sideline to push him out of the pocket (Where I suspect Jarren is most uncomfortable)

I'm half expecting Dan Enos to call a quick wheel route or similar. Enos is not a play it safe, routine guy. I could see him turning JT loose up field on the first snap to see if he can get the tone set early with a 30+ yard gain or better. If i'm Florida, you got to be expecting this.

For those of you geniuses thinking they’re gonna blitz all night, I have a question:

Why? Have you seen our OL and think that they are going to overpower their front 4 so badly that they’ll need all kinds of extra blitzes to get to our QB? My guess is they won’t blitz often at all. You’re game planning for an accurate QB with a weak OL, you rush 4 and drop the rest into coverage.
