Question on Lorenzo Lingard

I read that he had on a big knee brace 1st practice day. What did he actually injure and is he expected to be ready for Florida on August 24th?

It was said it was a MCL tear last year, but Idk if it was ever confirmed if that was it.

And as far as him being ready for 8/24, no one knows as of now.

He's not 100% full go yet, but that could change throughout camp.

He'll definitely play this season, but it remains to be seen if he's a go for UF.

Basically we'll see.

I know he would love to play in front of his hometown fans, but I find it hard to believe unless he gets cleared in the next week or so. He's going to need time to get confident with the knee without the brace once he gets cleared. More likely ready for UNC IMO.

Lo is fine. His rehab was set up the way it was for a reason. Reason being is that he’s a gym rat & they didn’t want him to push his limits when he wasn’t ready. He’s running, cutting, in the sand-pit, & will be 100% full go come August 24 !!!
