I'm not DMoney but from what I've read of them and from LuCane Kaaya has looked very sharp in practice. And indeed he looked good vs. FAMU as well. I think it was just a bad game that got away from him a little bit until the 2nd half.
I do think we've only seen maybe 20-30% of the total playbook - that said I've already seen some plays that we can build on going forward. In other words, don't expect the other 80% of the playbook to be brand new formations and sub packages and trick plays...
Example: last Saturday when we went to the WR screen/inside zone RPO I noticed Kaaya performing a zone-read fake on most handoffs. He never kept it, but if he had there was at least 10 yards of open green in front of him. No, Kaaya's not Deshaun Watson, but he can pick up an easy 8 yards and slide as well as anyone - just enough to give a defense one more thing to think about after they've committed to the RB... (Richt also did this with Murray and Stafford.)
Another example: Richt has run the playaction rollout a few times already with the TE (usually Herndon) an easy 5 yards downfield for a pitch and catch. He can run a number of plays off of that rollout - WRs at different levels, for example. Or in a 2 RB set he can leak a RB out on the bootleg as well.
So I think we'll see a lot more VARIATION on what we've already seen, if that makes sense. For now, I'm going to chalk Saturday up to a good QB having a bad night. We'll know more this Saturday.
