Cam Newton's influence on the history of college football should not be underestimated. Had he not been booted from UF:

He would have succeeded Tim Tebow in Urban Meyer's offense.
Urban Meyer would have stayed at UF another term.
Ohio State would have replaced Jim Tressel with a HC other than Urban Meyer.
Tom Herman would not have enjoyed his success as Ohio State OC, not moved on to Houston, and not be Texas' HC.
Auburn would never won a NC.

In Miami's history, Brock Berlin worked out, more or less. He had his flaws but was 3-0 against FSU, 2-0 against UF, and 2-0 in bowl games. Had Coker adapted to let Berlin play in the shotgun full time Miami might have played for and perhaps even won a NC.

This is not from a UM source, but a friend of mine who works in football said Richt was asking him about a couple potential grad transfers. This was back before spring.

You're kidding!!!

What about Jarrett Stidham (Baylor - Aub), Russell Wilson (NCS - Wisc.), Baker Mayfield (Texas Tech - Ok) , Ryan Mallett (Mich. - Ark),
Nick Foles (Mich St. - Az.), Jacoby Brissett (UF - NCS)

Now list the 150 that didnt work out. ill start...jake heaps...ryan williams..

It shouldn't just stop at QB..Why didn't we scour the JUCO or grad transfer ranks for CB/OL/ and DT help? I know its easier said then done, but if Willis slips on a banana peel and gets hurt we are DONE. And we saw what happened when Bandy got kicked out the game. Secondary just wasn't the same. That's on the HC.

Man, we can't have our QB coach out recruiting QB's. He's got kids to raise and stolen paychecks to cash and... Yeah, not sure what, exactly, it is he does around here.

Hey Jon...:

Bro Tito is a DT grad transfer / Boulware is an OL grad transfer / Jhavonte Dean is a Juco CB / We've also had Dee Delaney and Adrian Colbert as Grad Transfer CBs as well.

Teams aint going nowhere with a bunch of Juco's and Grad Transfer's on your squad... Boulware got potential but Adrian Colbert was the only slam dunk among this group.

We dont need any grad transfers or Juco's in the secondary this season just develop the talent we have. Aside from Dean getting embarrassed a couple times deep secondary play wasn't an issue.

LSU beat us w/ their QB going for 0 Tds and a 45.8% completion percentage
