Quentin Williams moved to DT?

Feely has a secret project on the team Sam Fishman. He's looking to add 40lbs on him. And don't sleep on Suleman Burrows at corner. I know he's only 5'8 but you never know. :alien:

We just played a game where 2 DEs played all the snaps basically.

Its not ideal, but I dont think its an emergency.

And if Phillips comes back, its a strength. I know Phillips loves UM. I do believe he can be convinced to come back and become a 1st rounder as opposed to being a 3rd now.
 
UM has a lot of young tweeners who will by the end of their UM career will be fully developed into a DT and they should definitely use them for this coming season to add more size and strength in the run game. They could easily use Roberts, Blisset, and Quentin Williams as that SDE/smaller DTs side known until they add the necessary size and strength to play DT fully.

Roberts and Williams i think both are above 260 currently.

They could be complete beast down the road with that type of athleticism at the 3 tech.
 
Phillips is leaving 99%. Leonard Taylor will primarily be a DE his freshman year.
Phillips I posted yesterday. From multiple coaches. LT, I won’t post this again, from coaches and him BEFORE he even committed. He will be a DT here, but the majority of his burn year one will be at DE. He absolutely loves this.

Chantz is better for the Phillips spot I think but Harvey is a freak so hopefully he can put it all together. Cam Will also looks like he can break out next year. As a sack specialist
 
Phillips has ZERO business leaving early. Dude is talented, but needs more tape and development

He went from the number one recruit coming out of high school to OUT OF FOOTBALL. Put yourself in his shoes for a moment. He knows he’s a moment away from never playing again or getting paid. He now will have the opportunity to get well paid and live his dream. Would anyone roll dice on that? Also, if he crushes the combine, he won’t sniff the third round.

Same deal with Bubba Bowden so I thinking he is gone also after this year. Since Bubba was given the bizness by NC State Left Tackle on the opening drive of game, Bubba has been quite right! I think he saw he career flash before him after being pill drived and squashed by the LT whom bubba gave up 100+lbs to. Bubba has been on cruise control trying not to get hurt and just finish out the Canes 2020 season then on to the draft.

I’m not sure he’s gone. I’ve been told he’s currently undecided. He won’t have the same opportunity to be drafted in the early rounds as it stands today. Like everyone under 25, they change their minds hourly. I’ll wait and see how this plays out. Hopefully our culture and kids are getting better/smarter.

That’s why he is doing music also. He knows football won’t last forever

Bubba neeeds to stay Phillips can leave he will be drafted in the top 3 rounds if he finishes the year getting better every game like he has recently
